Damn it smoked my Camaro ZL1 lol.

Edited after reading the article. The Benz came with more extreme tires than the 918 wore 3 years ago and other cars wore in the test. Tires are so important it's now getting absurd. Nice that they admitted the Zl1 had more in it. I'll tell you the Zl1 is more of a rush to drive than my Ferrari and I got mine for $64k and change. Unreal performance for the money. Can't floor it in a straight line until the tires are warm without massive back end movement. Just too much torque!

This is for the AMG GTR? This is far better than other mags have gotten. Like .5 seconds quicker to 100 kph and over a second quicker to 200 kph. That's a lot, don't you think?

Doh! In my excitement, I forgot to mention it was the Performante. Plus, forgot to add this quote:

"It's only 2 seconds quicker around a 3,6-km-long track than the Corvette Z06 Z07-Pack. LOL."

Makes much more sense! Interestingly it's no quicker than a regular Huracan in a straight line. Drama free cornering though is what gives the performance it's edge.

    So you impressed?

BTW: If my math checks out right, then this thing is naturally .56 secs quicker per km than the Vette. Which means that it should be atleast 11.5secs quicker around the nurburgring than the vette--not the manual that sport auto tested.

Eh, lap times don't really do anything for me. The skill of these drivers certainly does and the tires help a ton. I have to drive something myself to know if it's good or not. Same driver in similar conditions is only way I'll pay attention.

Bugatti released this video of Chiron. They are claiming some pretty ridiculous number but at the end of this video the Chiron accelerates and they put a timer next to the car. Funnily enough, according to their timer, a 918 is actually quicker from 0-100 mph. After that though it's all over.

Kind of shows how insane the 918's 2.3 second to 60 mph and 4.7 second to 100 mph really is.

Chiron hits 124 mph in 6.44 seconds, 186 mph in 13.40 seconds and 217 mph in 23 seconds according to video. P1/LAF will just be getting to 200 and 918 won't get there for another few seconds when Chiron is going past 217....

I don't know if we'll ever see one to be honest. These super rare cars are selling the manufacturers have nothing to gain by a test. I hope I'm wrong though.

I was at Mclaren of Philadelphia yesterday talking to one of the sales managers. He said this summer they had two P1's, a 918 and a LAF on a track together along with a bunch of other stellar cars. He said the 918 and P1 were neck and neck, very little between them. He then told me LAF couldn't keep up. Take it with a grain of salt as Mclaren and Ferraris rivalry is heating up but I thought it was interesting.

McLaren people also think that they are the most successful team in F1. When I presented them with hard facts they said that they are 20 years younger than Ferrari. After that I told them that even on a normalised basis (wins per races contested) they also lag behind, they told me that they meant "the most successful british team"...

Thus, I don't even believe that the sun sets in the west when it comes from a McLaren employee!!!

I think it looks a lot like a 918. Front end is better and more aggressive than the 918. Side profile is a little messy as is the rear. Overall the looks don't blow me away. It's distinctive, I'm sure it will perform. Sadly the production doesn't begin until second half of 2019. Who knows what will be produced by that point.

Not a good look. And that's why Ferrari is still Ferrari, and the only thing to come close is Porsche.
