Delhi has/had a Ferrari 412/400 once. Also Delhi had a bottle green 599 GTB. Any details about the whereabouts of both the cars would be really helpful. Ishan do you have any details?
Hi Arunabh, I have no idea where these two cars are. Haven't even heard about them for quite some time !
A little History Lesson for my non-sikh friends, Vaisakhi (also spelled Baisakhi) is the festival which celebrates the founding of the Sikh community, usually celebrated on the 13th or 14th Of April Yearly. Sikhs make up close to 30million of the worlds population which amounts close to 0.4%. Sikhs have played a significant part in history fighting alongside the British Army and played a huge role in building Singapore. Today, Sikhs all around the world hold top positions in MNCs and politically are in several parliaments throughout the world. In our little red dot, Sikhs too have come a long way since WWII, owning businesses, contributing to politics and being heavily involved in charitable causes. Little do the non-sikhs know that a Sikhs temple is open too all religions and will always offer any race or religion a meal or at least a glass of water. Daily temples around the world feed more than 200,000 people for free , the bulk coming from the Golden Temple in Amritsar which is the worlds largest 'FOC' kitchen giving meals to almost 3million people monthly. I have always been proud of my turban. Little did I realize that throughout my school life, I was mocked by strangers with 'Singh jokes' and often called names. Nevertheless, I took it in good stride. For a sikh, his turban is his identity and his crown. Little do the non-sikhs know that keeping his hair and taking time to tie a turban requires patience and pride. Till today, Racism still exists in Singapore with many Sikh men facing getting mocked by school kids and teenagers. It all bows down to education which off course MOE has no idea about. Sharing what my Friedman went through . Thats a little SIKH101. Happy Vesakhi Folks!!
The 412/400 was the ex-Diplomat car. Mr. Ross was the Italian diplomat who owned it, IIRC. The bottle green 599 hasn't surfaced for a while.
I'm told the bottle green car is actually black and there's light at play in the original photo, making everyone think it's dark green. To the best of my knowledge, it's not for sale.
