I have 22ov in my garage from my electric car. I understand that there may be different types of 220 plugs. I can take a photo of what I have.

If anyone is thinking about doing an oil change, Walmart.com has Mobil 1 European for under $23 for a 5 qt jug.

I'll take a photo when I get home. Some of us are at work.

Still like the 612 timing belt change idea :)

Get your orders into Daniel at Ricambi for your parts if you are planning any work. I'm looking at the 612 Service Kit. $1,275 Ouch!

Happy to help on the T belt but I don't think it is a one day stooge project. Also, ask Bruce about that bar. IIRC there is a bar that obstructs access and I don't remember what the solution was for it. It could have been take 1/2 the car apart to get to it. Like I said the ONLY chance of a lock and swap is if lots of stuff was off the car before we got there.

Car should be here a few days before the event so I'll take a look.

As for the 220v plug, I have a different type.

Yeah Pete thats not something you want to rush. too many variables to "power stooge" it, even if we did the tag team cage match version of stooging

I do have one of the Harbor Freight welding set ups if that helps for anything. Won't be as clean of weld but it works.

Mitchel....this is what we need to make my welder work. There may be cheaper conversions if you want to pursue this. 4 prong outlet just puts the ground and neutral on separate pins. Old school 3 prong plug joints the neutral and ground while the other pins are 110V each x 2 =220.

Pete if you don't have a gas bottle for your welder then it is a fluxcore welder. If it is the HFT 110v welder that will work OK but not as clean as my 220V lincoln MIG with gas. I can still lay down a good weld bead with fluxcore. Fluxcore is basically stick and that is how all structural; steel buildings are made . So flux is fine.

I leave it to mitchell to decide since it is his car.

I've got a Mig (110 or 220), Inverter Tig (220), Plasma cutter (220), chop saw, drill press, grinders, compressor, measurement tools, just about anything to fabricate with steel or alum. No problem transporting in the back of my truck. Let me know. Mark.

All I will be doing it to weld a right angle plate to a 1/4 inch stock bar and welding a few bolts to the bar. I think the 110V flux core unit will be sufficient....

I have a small turkey but I don't think I will have time to roast it that morning. If you want to bring your deep fryer, I'll have the turkey ready to go. Otherwise it's a pass. There will be plenty of other food.
