Yessir. Sauber now gets the same year spec motor next year. Ferrari needs a place to develop its own drivers like RB does with Torro Rossa. Haas can't be that.
Charles Leclerc fastest with the Ferrari in the first day of Formula 1's post-Hungarian Grand Prix test at the Hungaroring. I like to see the Ferrari with the 32 number, this reminds me the 70's when a third car for team could be included in some GP and these rare numbers appeared. yep, even the fonts of the numbers bring back 1975's niki lauda and clay regazzoni. No school like old school when it comes to the fonts
This kid really does look like the real deal - best prospect Ferrari has ever had. I would have put him in the red team myself, but maybe a stint at Sauber will be a good transition. Looks like Giovinazzi's star is fading, having flattered to deceive and basically crashing in his last 3 F1 appearances, including last Friday in the Haas. Probably will be recycled in a GT team.
Leclerc has just driven the best race I've ever seen in GP2/F2. Wow wow wow. A second (!!!) a lap in hand over the entire race over the next placed man. Unbelievable! Keep in mind he only had small amount of time in the practice session due to problems with the car. WOW!
yup. I agree with Bas. Letting him drive for Sauber for one year then bring him on-board. Has Ferrari in its past hired an F1 driver as young as Leclerc??? If not, maybe its time for a change.
Yeah was a fantastic battle. Markelov is just great to see every time. Should be allowed IMO, he was forced wide, much less traction where he was also.
I can't wait for tomorrows sprint race. He'll be starting 8th (reverse grid). I'm sure he'll make it a double
whaaaaaaaaaaa??? Leclerc and Rowland disqualified from feature race Markelov promoted to race victory Charles Leclerc and Oliver Rowland have been disqualified from this afternoon’s feature race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps after both drivers’ cars failed post-race scrutineering due to excessive wear to the underfloor plank. Both cars were subjected to the usual post-race scrutineering checks, which is when the damage was noted on both vehicles. The planks were removed and measured, with the thickness recorded as below the allowable limit. The race stewards also handed down penalties to Artem Markelov and Oliver Rowland following their last corner incident: Rowland was handed a 5 second time penalty for forcing a rival off track, and Markelov was also handed a 5 second penalty for exceeding track limits and gaining an advantage, nullifying each other’s penalties before Rowland was disqualified from the race. Markelov has now been promoted to race winner, ahead of teammate Luca Ghiotto to record a RUSSIAN TIME 1-2, with Antonio Fuoco rounding out the podium. Racing Engineering teammates Gustav Malja and Nyck De Vries are now classified P4 and P5 respectively, ahead of Sergio Sette Camara and Roberto Merhi, with Norman Nato set to start tomorrow’s sprint race from pole and Santino Ferrucci and Robert Visoiu rounding out the points places. Crazy and depressing. The best ever GP2/F2 drive...gone. Tomorrow Leclerc starting from the back will be interesting to see how far he gets.
Great comeback race from him...19th to 5th in a race cut short due to a huge accident in Eau Rouge. Rowland started 20th with the better start and was ahead, but when Leclerc overtook him Rowland barely made any progress until last few laps. It was another outstanding performance from Leclerc. Merhi pushed him of the track near the end which hampered Leclercs performance somewhat so at best 4th was maybe possible, had there not been a SC.

Yes he is very good for sure. That Matsu****a crash was huge...yes Eau Rouge is flat but if you screw it up and take too much kerb on the left at the top ,Radillon, you can end up in a very big crash ,very quickly.

Hope NBCSN does not show(replay) FP2 of LeClerc getting tagged by De Vries....that sucked yesterday....bad day yesterday for Ferrari F1 and F2 (LeClerc)
Yap, but again in the wet, Charles proved he is a cut above everyone else, this kid is the real deal!
