After doing some research, it seems there were half as many manuals produced as there was automatics. How much more valuable is an manual car? For instance, seems a well sorted 400i Auto in very good condition could be around $50k. Would a manual be $60k?

I don't believe the ratio number is quite that high. The premium for a 5-speed seems to be a bit more than your example of 20%. There are a couple of 5-speeds for sale in the high 70k to mid 90k range right now.

It seems the premium for the 5 speed is @$15,000.00- $20,000.00. I feel that the automatic with the engine in proper tune pairs quite nicely.

Hagerty guide mentions 35% premium for 5 speed which is likely in the ball park.

I agree with this range of high 70K to mid 90K, which would suggest a much higher premium for the manual over the auto. In addition to condition of the car, other factors are if it is in the US and further if it is able to be registered in California.

IMO Hagerty seems to lag a bit when cars are on the upswing, but in reality I doubt there are enough manual 400/412 market observations for them to draw a conclusion of 35% premium, which seems quite unrealistic. I believe they stated the premium for a manual to be 25% just a year ago, so they are correcting...

    Agree with you Ruben.
If, just for this conversation, we say an auto is $50k then a 5-speed would be according to Hagerty around $65k to $67k. Unlikely.

I agree with this based on my observations of the market.
