Thanks for the info Andres. I was able to see 488 GTB at Concours week in Monterey/Carmel this year and will see spider next week at my dealers launch. As you know, Christmas is he best time of year to be in the Philippines, so I can't wait to be back. As I understand, UBER is pretty popular in Manila now, so transportation is now much easier to get around.

No 488s here yet, so the coupe at the December FOCP and Autostrada cocktails will be the first. Ferrari is launching the Spider in Pluket later this month.

Yes, December to February are good, cool months to visit, Albert. Uber has been working well, so it is easier to get around. But traffic is really bad still. Especially Christmastime .

FOCP is Ferraris only, Mike, but no, we've never seen an Aurelio except at shows. AutoSalon is on till Sunday, so we might see one there. They've pretty much been static displays. Perhaps the sports can club MSCC will invite them for their monthly meetings.

Yes, the 458 Challenge car is a special experience...I've been in one screaming like there is no tomorrow...cars such as a 365 BB, 250 Cali, or Lancia Stratos were cars of our dreams as children and thus still deserve all the respect in the world to those who can appreciate them.

Very few Ferrari owners now know the older Ferraris, Albert. I am glad there are folks like you who appreciate them.

FOCP was invited to the 488 Spider Asia launch in Phuket last Thursday. This was at a gala dinner. The 488 came roaring out in dramatic fashion, so i whipped pout my cell phone. The next day, Ferrari arranged a private viewing for the Philippine contingent. vey nice, actually.

Looks like a nice event there Andres...In person, don't you think the 488's smaller than 458 engine looks quite strange in the engine bay? What are your personal impressions of the La Ferrari type front of the 488? I have been a die-hard Ferrari enthusiast for most of my life and I like the 488, but other Marques current offerings in this class causes me to ponder about a venture into "Dark Side" of the Force...

At the dealer’s showroom, Mike. They kitted out the place, and it looked fabulous. The oldest Ferrari in the country was on display, so both the oldest and the newest were within meters of each other. Pretty impressive.

I think the front works well. I didn’t focus on the motor much. As with most Ferraris, it looks better in the flesh (aluminum) than in photos. The rear scoops are perhaps the most glaring departure from the lovely 458s, but the details, including the fins on the door handles that direct air to the scoops, are quite striking.

    Don't cross over yet, Albert.

I personally don't like the 488 in rosso. Although my 458 Italia and f430 spider are rosso corsa. I do like it in white with black roof. I saw three in person already. I agree it does look better in person. It sounds similar to the 458 in volume at idle and revving while in park. Not sure how it sounds during high load and redline. But the engine looks a lot smaller. Especially when the engine bay is opened. I do like the side vents as well. If I would get this car, I would definitely choose white with black roof.

It's Grigio silverstone. Canna di fucile has a little more of a bronze hue, and silverstone is more of a true silver hue. Silverstone tends to reflect the surrounding colours, so it looks slightly different depending on the surroundings. Thanks!

Here is the only 60s Ferrari here, shown at the 488 launch the other week. It is not a garage queen, but often attends MSCC and also the more recent meetings.

What happened to all the fellows posting here before, mostly from the US? Does anyone in the US have a historic or what is called "vintage" in this forum?
