456 Trunk lid & fuel flap question

    Hi.

    No matter where I look I can't find a definitive answer to this:

    Does the ignition have to be on/off or engine running/not running to be able to flick the trunk and fuel lids open?

    Should I be able to open both of these with the car just sat there w/o the keys in?

    Trunk can be opened with car off
    Fuel needs car to be on, but not necessarily running.
