How much headroom is in the 308 GTB for a guy over 6'5" ? I have sat in a GTS, seemed the windshield edge was in the line of sight.I recall the pedals seemed close together, but this was 35 years ago . What say you?

A GTS with the top off would be manageable but probably not desirable. IMHO, a GTB would be undesirable and uncomfortable. Only way to know is to test.

I had a GTB, 6'3", fit well. My head rubbed on the Targa panels of GTSs..

I'm gonna have to track down a GTB and try it on for size. Need to find one in the DFW area.

I am 6' 4" and fit perfectly fine in mine. From what I understand, the GTB has more interior room than the GTS model. Not sure why, possibly due to the room required behind the seats to accommodate the tops. I moved the seat all of the way back and tilted the seat as well. In addition, you can get a steering wheel extension that brings the steering wheel closer to you enabling you to get your knees behind the steering wheel. The steering wheel can also be adjusted by loosening a couple of bolts under the steering column to make for some extra room as well.

I'm 5'11", 175#. With the seat adjusted comfortably my hair brushes the headliner, and I like a pretty laid back driving position.

This is good to hear. I had to do that on my 1975 911, use a spacer for the wheel. I even dropped the sdeat mount about a half inch, and have the room I need at the comfort level I like. I am hoping it works out here too. Got to find a GTB in Dallas I can sit in.

The GTBs have more headroom due to the roof design

It depends mainly of your driving position: whether you like to be "rather erect", or rather "lying on your back". I'm 6' 1/2" (or rather 1,84m, I was fabricated in the metric system...) and 160 lbs (72,5 kgs) and I have both a GTB and a GTS. With the roof in place on the GTS, the inside space in the cabin is exactly the same for both cars, except under the roof: the GTB has slightly more space under the roof, not that much, but it is noticeable. I drive rather erect, and I fit perfectly in the GTB without having to bend myself until I find my confort position; it's more difficult in the GTS with the roof on, although the Saratoga Top makes things slightly easier.
You really need to try the car for size, to see if it fits or not, depending on how you sit.

I'm 6'2" and can drive my GTS with the targa top on, but it's not exactly fun. The GTB has more of a bulge in the roof, so it's OK for me. I can't imagine you'd fit in one, though. I have a 35" inseam, so long legs/short torso.

    Tom Selleck was 6' 5": there is not enough room in a 308 GTB for you, sorry. It's ok until 6' 1"- 6 2", 6' 3" is the limit, but it's not suited for a 6' 5" lineman... :)

The head and leg room is exactly the same for GTB and GTS: I have both and I would say that the GTS has 1/4" more head room than the GTB.

If you want a 308 GTB, you have to remove the seat rails and screw it directly to the body floor, or you will drive uncomfortably. You will have some problem with putting your legs under the steering wheel too

I'm 6' 0" (1,83 m) and there isn't much room left for the head and legs.

    ciao

I didn't know you could get the seats any lower! Another resto-mod project (although my wife might not like the fixed seat position). I've got a slightly smaller wheel and a 25mm extension - fits much better.
