    Ferrari part #70000707 Ignition Switch
The BMW part # for the switch is 61-31-2-682-120
    SWF#800.040

This is the exact part Ferrari uses. I had to mark the old one to make sure I didn't get the two mixed up.

Anyone know if there are options for the brake master cylinder for a '76 308GTB? I'd like to buy a new one rather than fix up the original. Surely they're the same as some other car.

Metal 3 way union 109887 can be purchased from G.T. Car Parts 623-780-2200 I paid $45.00. I know that is ridiculous but better than the $485.35 Ferrari price tag.

The old one crumbled in my hands when I attempted to replace the fuel distribution line.

Please did anyone manage to find details of a replacement substitute part for the OIL PRESSURE SENDER UNIT used on early (4 x weber carburetted) cars.

I have heard there is one used by either Toyota or MAZDA but unable to find details. Seems a member of the Ford Motors Car Club (Dagenham, Essex, U.K.) provided the basis information but efforts to trace this person have failed.

    My contact is [email protected]

    many thanks.

    Freddie George.

Front Calipers on early 1975 308GT4.
These are basically as used on some Porsche 911 models (suitably stretched with spacer) and seems originally fitted with cast iron pistons. Someone had hammered mine resulting in a near disasterous brake failure. 'Reconditioned' calipers were an e3extortionate price. Tried Frenkit in Spain for new pistons - totally unhelpful. Budweg in Germany has superb on-line catalogue and provided superb stainless pistons....very reasonable. Seals corresponded to period Alfa 105 at Alfa (very cheap) not Ferrari or Porsche prices. PM me/send e-mail to [email protected] if you need details and I'll post source to this site.

I posted a thread on this earlier, but I was trying to re-do my exhaust system, when I discovered that the little 3mm-thick OEM washers that flank the springs on the exhaust bolts cost between $5-10 EACH. Mind you, all the usual parts suppliers had MASSIVE inventories, but still wanted these unholy numbers. Also, OEM bolt are now between $25-45 each, and a typical setup has up to 18 of them!

With the guidance of other members on this forum, I was directed to Bel Metric, which offers similar-thickness washers (2mm and 4mm, which can be combined to achieve the same OEM spacing) for cents apiece, as well as yellow zinc-plated bolts for under $2!

OEM spacer tubes and springs fit on these bolts like a glove, and the bolts are tit-for-tat the correct length and dimension, though one order harder metal than factory stock (10.9 vs 8.8).

    https://www.belmetric.com/bh8x70-hex...09-p-3631.html

    $1.68ea

Here are the links to the 2mm and 4mm washers. I went with a 4-2-4 configuration to balance out the OEM 3-3-3 dimensions.

    https://www.belmetric.com/wfe8x20ylw...inc-p-130.html
    https://www.belmetric.com/wc8x20ylw-...nc-p-6942.html

They are 20 cents and 35 cents respectively, as opposed to $5-10 for the OEM 3mm washers, and there was no real spacing difference in the bolt/spring/washer assembly.

    Happy Exhaust Restoration!

*Dunno know the setup of the 328 exhaust system, but this may work there, as well.

Air filter for 308 (#118006), and I believe also for the 328, 208, Mondial, could be replaced by the Bosch 1 457 432 174, which originally was conceived for the Lancia Delta 16v Integrale.
It is just 1.5 inches shorter, not a big deal to fill the gap into the housing.
BMC also produces a compatible filter for the same car, not sure though if it fits like the Bosch does.

    Hello;

Does anybody know if the suspension arm sets (wishbones), front and rear ones, from the GT4 fit the 308 GTB/GTS?

I know the rear ones do fit the GT4, 308 and 328. Not sure about the front ones, though.

Check out the part numbers for both cars using Superformance or similar supplier sites. You could also e-mail the factory in Italy who are helpful on some points but refuse to reply to give a response on parts even whe they can't supply them.

The part numbers are different for the 308 and 328 but only because there's a different attachment point for the handbrake cable, and you can easily change that (either way).

I am in search of a 75 308 GT4 Air Filter/carburetor cover. Would a old 308 carb edition cover work?

From sidtx, discussing his 85 Mondial but seemingly likely to work across a broad selection of cars:

I found that a cheap ($60) Metra (PW22 - I think) power antenna from Autozone was a direct fit replacement. Everything matched up perfectly - including the metal strap at the base - I used the same strap with the same screws. The existing drain tube also matched up directly.

If you need new snaps for your targa cover, you want small head TENAX snaps (German version size) common to Porsches. The black Ferrari horse "buttons" on your old ones will snap off (pull hard!) and fit onto the replacement button heads.

Sample source $4.95 each: TENAX Small Head in Chrome Plated Brass - German

Napa have the skf pulley bearing, cost me $56 for both, I'm sure there are cheaper places to get them. Made in China by skf. I was also trying to press the bearing out until I read the post and saw their is two bearings separated by a spacer and snap ring
