Hamilton pole with Vettel moving up to 2 because of Bottas grid penalties. Great runs by merc. Now Vettel can make it happen lap 1. Robb

Or more accurately, the mclaren chassis is getting better and better. I don't give be Honda any credit as their top speeds are still terrible and fuel saving is still an issue. Long way to go for Honda.
I've been willing to catch up with all of this but can;t cause I'm not in my country. This thread is really helpful to keep up with what's going on and what might happen and another thing that helped is this streaming guide about Formula 1 which luckily has the channels' list to get me going!
bout time he came to his senses.... Palmer, out of the blue it must be said, announces on instagram that tomorrow will be his last Grand Prix for Renault. https://twitter.com/RenaultSportF1/status/916620344563089408

Well that was depressing. With two great opportunities squandered, it looks like Merc are back to making everyone look like amateurs with their advantage.
Hammertime at its best. Writing F1 history once again: 71st pole, total domination and breaking the track record several times in the process Those were absolute killer laps. Well done Hamilton! The upgrades to the Merc seemed to have worked. Now the car is even superb through tight turns. If they are so fast here, they're likely to be fast everywhere of the remaining races.
As all drivers say its a long race..... But LH must be the favorite. Kimi did Ferrari no favors in assisting Vettel. Another year of his inconsistency.......and failures especially in qualy.
With Bottas and Kimi doing in essence the same mistake twice you saw the difference to their #1 team mates. There is a reason Kimi and Bottas are support drivers. And no, it's not because they are Fins.
He should collect $x,xxx, xxx to step down, according to his contract. This is a sensible thing to do,as even if he should get some good results in the last few races, there does not appear to be any place to go right now..... I think he has handled the situation as best he could,he has always given 100%,so he can bow out with his head held high.Yes Hulk has generally been faster, although Jolyon has also had more than his fair share of car probs etc etc. Best of luck to him,he should be able to find a decent drive, even if outside F1.
Considering how he is totally dominating his teammate, it would be fair to say he is doing pretty well anyway.
