Hi everyone, Can anyone advice if they have similar problem as stated. Beeping sound occurs : A) when ignition key is turn to position 2 B) constant beeping ( like a pulse rate machine on the hospital bed ) C) disappear when reverse is engage and comes on after selecting to neutral D) after engine started, beeping still remains and even after selecting 1st gearand driving off E) after ignition key is turn off, beeping sound still remain F) after a 30 mins drive, beeping sound disappear. I am on a f1 gearbox and have read issues of other members car with beeping sound but seems quite different from my case. Gear select correctly and no slippage of clutch or loss of power. Engine turned on and indicator shows "CHECK OK". After looking underneath the steering console, seems like the sound is emitting from the instrument cluster. Can anyone advice because the sound is driving me nuts!! Thanks in advance for any valuable advice.
Could not find anything more recent on this problem I have an F430 with the same fault occuring Beeping noise from instrument cluster, low level sound, but with a constant pattern (same hospital heart beat machine) Will open the instrument cluster and inspect.
There's nothing to inspect unless you are an electronics wizard. The beeper is soldered onto the motherboard. It sounds as if it is working backwards I.e on when not in reverse and off when in reverse..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi, I just got the same problem. Did you manage to find out what caused that beeping sounds? Thanks Natt Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I now have the problem... Beeping stops in reverse... Also stays on for a while after car is parked and key removed...
If you aren’t able to get an answer here, you might try asking in the technical q&a forum. General forums/ Technical Q&A Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
No front and rear parking sensors this beeping sound came out when: A) when ignition key is turn to position 2 B) constant beeping ( like a pulse rate machine on the hospital bed ) C) disappear when reverse is engage and comes on after selecting to neutral D) after engine started, beeping still remains and even after selecting 1st gear and driving off E) after ignition key is turn off, beeping sound still remain
Sorry cant help much as I've never heard of this problem before until now. My recommendation is to try and pinpoint where the sound is coming from as that may help us determine the root cause. Dan
Or, if all else fails, bite the bullet and take it to the dealer or an indy who can properly diagnose the problem with the right diagnostic equipment
I agree. Can't put a price tag on peace of mind. If this continues to bother you just take it to the dealer or independent mechanic and tell them to fix it and be done with it. Dan Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
My mechanic is checking the problem for a week but still no solution. That is the reason I am seeking the help from Ferrari's friend in this group.
I would suggest sending a private message to all those that have posted of having this problem, as many do not visit here frequently. They may have resolved the issue in the intervening years.
Does everyone who is have this issue have the same model year car? I had a similar problem with a car once, turned out is was a bad parking light bulb, but the car did not have a dash warning light for that bulb so it just beeped a warning. I have no idea if that will help, but I am throwing it out there.
Hi Friend, We(my mechanic) did reset the battery by take off the master switch for couple minutes and then put it on and switch on the car. Still have problem.
Hi Carnut, Thanks for your information. Seem very interesting. Could you share me which position of your parking light? Thank you for your help.
Interesting..... Would you be so kind and repost the audio sample please? Thanks. Dan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thanks for reposting the audio clip. The interesting part is I have never heard that type / tone of beep before. It doesnt sound familiar to me. And I have no guesses either. rchantf, if your independent mechanic cant figure it out perhaps its time to take it to a Ferrari dealer. Do you have a Ferrari dealership close to you? Anyone else have any guesses on what that beep sound is? Dan
I just noticed there's been over 1,700 views to this thread and no one seem to know where this sound is coming from..........or what causes it..............
Hi Dan, My mechanic did talk to Ferrari dealer, they simply told us to replace a new computer module which is talking about a crazy money. They will not trouble shoot the problem.
