New Video Camera
Hello. I've never posted in the Technology section, but I shall begin now.
*Mods--if this is in the wrong section, could you kindly move it to its correct section? Thanks! I'm in the market for a camcorder. Anything will do, really. I am looking for something within a price range of anywhere between $400 and $600 dollars. I am an amateur carspotter, and I will use it to carspot. I want something with a pretty good zoom, something that will zoom in slow or quick. Also, I would like an attachable microphone, though it doesn't need one. But if ones suggested are able to attach a microphone, I need some advice for that, too. Many thanks to all who suggest!

iPod touch with some camera apps? Or an iPhone 4S? Or an iPad? Easy to carry, quick to turn on and start shooting, and you can post the videos online or email them out immediately. They even have tripods and lenses for them.

Not really in the market for an iPod. I have a gen 2 iPod Touch, and I don't want another. An iPad would be nice, but a drag to take when I carspot. Thanks, though.

You could get the Nikon d3100 it's a camera and it takes 1080p video and it's some what small. You can get different lenses for really far zoom and it's fast to turn on and shoot.
