However, and with all due respect, while it's very nice looking, there's all kinds of "typo's" in there......

The engine has a smaller lathe carrier than GT2 engine, therefore the power is lower, about 4307440 HP

I'm sure "we" can help here Jim..... Between all the "experts" here, we must be able to improve on the above, right guys? I'll start - I'll try and redo this page http://www.p45competizione.eu/contents/technical-data

and post it here for peer review...... Having avidly followed Jim's journey this far, I think the WWW site can be improved, and we can help......

As you damn well should be!

Certainly, "cleaning up" the WWW site is, and should remain, *way* down on your priority list.

OTOH, I suspect potential sponsors will be looking, and a "top notch" site can't harm.

While we here in the peanut gallery can't help you find 12 seconds, working with your web guy(s) is maybe something we *can* do to help a little?

The original:

The P4/5 Competizione M is based both on the road-going Ferrari F430 and on the Ferrari 430 GT2. The basic engine is sourced from 430 GT2, as well as the gearbox and the cycle structure. It is provided with a Motec control unit and setting has been carried out by Autotecnica Motori. The engine has a smaller lathe carrier than GT2 engine, therefore the power is lower, about 4307440 HP. All the other features belong to the gt2 model. Apart from the new roll bar, the whole cycle structure is the same as that of GT2. As compared to the 430 GT2, shape and aerodynamics have obviously been changed. In Nürburgring, the P4/5 Competizione raced in EXP2 experimental car group.

A version for peer review, as promised;

A road-going Ferrari F430 and it's race based sister, the Ferrari F430 GT2, formed the basis of P4/5 Competizione M. The basic engine as well as the gearbox and chassis come from the GT2. An Autotecnica Motori tuned Motec ECU manages the engine. Power is reduced in P4/5 CM due to a reduced stroke, down to about XXX HP versus YYY HP of the original, larger, motor. Apart from the new roll cage, the chassis is that of the GT2. P4/5 CM harkens back to the now legendary P3/4 of yesteryear with it's beautiful aerodynamic shape and was obviously developed and tuned in the wind tunnel as well as on track. The car won the EXP2 "experimental car" class at the recent 24 hour Nurburgring race on the Norschleife, generally accepted as the toughest endurance race there is.

Anyone want to rip me a new one here, please go ahead! I'm not married to this, but think it's a little better than the original?

Further, IMESHO;

- "Autotecnica Motori" should be a link to their site.
- A link to VLN site for results?
- (Lack of) brake wear due the KERS should be discussed (?)
- (Lack of) air also?
- FWIW, Dimensions -v- Dimension. Weight -v- Weights. Suspension -v- suspensions. (No wonder non native speakers "hate" English! )

Any chance we will see a development similar to this in the P 4/5 CM... I think I remember reading you planned to use a rear camera system after her racing days were over but maybe a full time rear facing option integrated into the fin would help the drivers out in races as well

I think in a recent racecar engineering article that the hybrid system engineers from Peugeot said that with a limit of 4MJ per lap that their batteries were competitive with the other systems but beyond that that the other systems started to pull ahead... so they focused on cooling as the best way to improve performance and reliability by upgrading to high voltage transformer oil to cool their batteries
