Note how with KERS working rear brakes are working much less as they're recapturing Kenetic Energy.

You know she's sitting on a dolly in that shot, right? ( I guess so, given the smiley.....)

Further utter awesomeness & involuntary man moments!

KERS recovery reduces rear brake temps *that* much!? Wow!

Still no word from Luca I presume?......

Cheers,
Ian

"This staggering Ferrari P 4/5 Competizione was the best-placed non-German outfit in the entire race. Should such a class exist, it would have won the “rest of the world” event."

"James Glickenhaus’ pet project, which Ferrari is now helping him develop". Is this accurate? They weren't much help with the rear chassis part. LOL

From the same story;

News to you, right!? [Unless I've missed something big! ]

And, I know it's the proverbial water off a ducks back to you, but almost all of 'em continue to insist that she's a "Ferrari P4/5CM". Anyone not following the story now believes a Ferrari took the fastest lap mantle from the FXX - So it's "all in the family after al!" After the way they treated you, I'd be pissed!

Cheers,
Ian

Jim, you are going to hide her away and shut her up in a nice safe place, right? Certainly you don't intend to drive this delicate beauty on the mean streets of the Empire State, do you???

He always maintained this race would be it and then she'd return to, and be used extensively in, Gotham.

However, given this success, I think the answer is a little up in the air right now... Talk (probably all it is of course when "they" see the budget!) of multi-car teams and formations across the line.....

My WAG - A big name sponsor or two is a possibility, and she'll stay & compete in Europe for a while yet. We can but hope anyway!

Cheers,
Ian

Bring her home to live with her sisters, drive her on the Highways and Byways and take her to a few shows.

I'm sure she'll enjoy her retirement, when it comes, in the best of health. Hopefully, not quite yet though.

Have you ever run the Virginia City Hillclimb out here in Nevada? She'd be the ultimate weapon for that, and I could even see her getting under the mystical 3 minutes! That would be a record that stands *forever*!.....

Anything under 4 minutes is considered quick, but IIRC, the outright record remains Amir's 3:11 in a modified F40 a few years back [The engine was apparently on it's last legs and they screwed down the waste gates with the ultimately predictable result.]

P4/5CM + KERS could just do it IMO! Would be even awesomer!

Cheers,
Ian

For anyone that doesn't know, you've gotta be street legal, insured and run DOT approved tires. It's a truly *great* event that'll bite, hard, if you get it wrong.

Gratuitous repost of a run I did a few years back - Not Amir pace, and not even my quickest run, but the video & data all worked correctly for once: http://vimeo.com/4443638

Cheers,
Ian
