We will be up against many major manufactures such as Ferrari (458GT2), MB, BMW,Porsche,Nissan,Toyota, Lotus, VW, Audi etc, etc. and it will be very tough even to finish.

While I'm not going to post our lap times, just how much G force we pull in a high speed turn or whether or not we make enough down force to drive on the ceiling at what speed, I will say I'm proud of what we've accomplished so far and remain hopefull that we'll do pretty well...

Fact of the matter is that you've done amazingly well with just what you've accomplished so far.
Godspeed.

Jim, your restraint is impeccable. :-)

But then again, reading between the lines is so much fun.

Either way, we're there and it'll be a story.

Thanks for sharing

+1. I am going to be at the Ring the week after the race, but watching all of this amazing project unfold is seriously tempting me to head out a few days earlier to witness this phenomenal project make modern Ferrari history.

Jim, curious as to the high speed testing: I'm assuming that one doesn't want to pull max rpm the full length of the Nurburgring's long back straight, but that the focus should rather be on achieving proper balance of power and speed, with emphasis on longevity. What info did the team gain at Paul Ricard regarding max engine speed, vmax, etc., that you can share with us?

BTW: Easy to understand how the car generates the downforce it does when looking at the fender swoop front to rear, as well as the low frontal area of the cockpit. It's strikingly similar to an LMP car.

It's a complicated combination of power/rich/lean/fuel efficiency
and the data we got and lap times left us hopeful.
Before we race we'll do a 6 hour test at the Ring and make
final settings based on that data.

Just got done watching Inside P4/5 part 2 and loved it. I've been following the story since it first popped up. Had a bit of a laugh when Jim was sipping on the Kool-Aid bag.

"The man who spent 50 million, for the love of one Ferrari"

More like not supporting us in any way. That's why I removed
their Badge. Legally P 4/5 Competizione remains a Ferrari.
