Next Year's USGP

I wondered when we'd see a thread like this Chris! We're all (wife, son & I) going again this year; leaving on Wednesday.

Perhaps this years convoy won't make any unplanned pit stops!? Ha! Now where would be the fun in that???

Seriously though, we are looking forward to it. Already "have" our Indy tickets, but I've dropped the ball on a hotel room - checking tonight.

Anyone else???

I talked with Mike Epifano who is the FCA guy that put together the great event at Indy last year. They've got a number of activities again this year for the group, including the Ferraris on Monument Circle. Be sure to check it out.

 

I may be going this year. Not sure yet. Red Bull may flip the bill. I am also working on having the Red Bull Formula One car at Roebling Road for next year's Hilton Head concourse.
I'll keep you guys posted.

I had a blast last year in Indy for the F1 race and FCA national event.I actually found a small bed and breakfast near downtown whose owner let me park the 360 in his attached garage while I stayed in the inn for 4 days.I still have the number if anybody wants it Buddy

 

I think I'll make it this year........worried about last years horrible race, but it is worth a shot. Had thought about Montreal, but Indy works out better being close to July 4th.

 

Because they screwed up last year you know they will do everything in their power to prevent a screw up this year.

Yes, I'll take the heavy Bimmer. Heck, at $3.00/gallon, this trip should only cost about $14,000 in fuel.

I'll leave either Wednesday night or very very early Thursday. Makes no difference to me... just depends on whether anyone wants to ride along with me.

 

Just got a call from my Red Bull contact today. He is making arrangements for my wife and me. Airfare, hotel, pitpasses,etc.
I got brave and asked him if my kids could go(with me paying their way of course) Would be an experience of a lifetime for all of us.
we'll see.

PS as much as I have been around racing for sooooo many years i have never seen an F1 race live.

I was told at the National Meet, just returned, that there is not suppose to be one next year. This year may be the last. But it's only a rumor until confirmed.
