I was a witness of running on dyno final and complete TT setup on stock 360SC custom designed by Classic Coach. It's running on 5 lbs of boost only but this way it's street safe (as well as for engine). Turbos allow it to push it over 2x more (10-13 lbs). I'm still waiting for exact specs of the setup - as soon as I get them I'll post them here.

All the pics are here - http://www.dreamin-tv.com/library/thumbnails.php?album=24

P.S. Have also dyno chart - need to scan it. I'll add it later...

WOW that seems like an amazing setup! My best guess for hp is atleast 490-510?

Is CC going to go for 1000hp Supra killer down the road? ;)

Lol... But you're right. At 5 lbs of boost it's producing 503 whp and that was an "easy" run. Once you reach 4500-5000 rpms the hell brake wide open through straight exhaust pipes. I was standing 15 feet away from it and had to close my ears - so loud it was. On the other hand - idle and low revs are pretty quiet - so if you manage to control your right foot, you should be able to stay away from troubles :)

It's actualy 2nd stage of design. Last year I saw it in action at Poconos with air-to-air intercoolers.

I understand for packaging reasons why they went with air-water intercoolers but I'm betting that at the track these are a big mistake. Once the water heat soaks it just never can catch up if you've got your foot in it. For drags and on the road it's fine.

At 15 lbs of boost engine internals needs upgrading. But on the other hand... at higher boost this car enters Enzo-zone...

Bad news for you Rob - the TT is sold already :-( That was it's last day at CC. On a good note - in couple weeks there is new setup being installed in next car...

Who makes new engine internals for a higher boost setup to be possible? One last question. Does the increase in torque and horsepower have any effect at all on the F1 transmission?

I'm not sure who would provide stronger engine internals - that question should be directed to Rocco at CC. As far as the F1 tranny issue - it looks like it holds pretty well - they spent whole year testing the car with this setup and everything seems ok - so I don't think tranny should cause any problems.

I'd think that turbo charging an engine with cam belts would be a less than good idea. I mean, I'm sure CC did a stellar job, but why would you turbo charge a 360 challenge car with belts?

430 Challenge Cars are being delivered. Turbo charge one of them. :)

thats my point, I could run 30 lbs of boost on mine and throw a rod out the side just as fast as the next guy.

Too bad, i'll have to catch the car out at a pocono event or something

What do belts have to do with this modification?
Lots of turbocharged cars have belts with out issues.

On the other hand, the 360 motor was not designed to be turbocharged. With no changes to the internals you're asking for some very serious and expensive problems. You just know that it's going to get tweaked above 5lbs at some point.

Why do it on a 360C? Easy, they're getting cheaper and cheaper everyday and that chassis can probably handle the extra power. But, liquid intercoolers for the track?

360SC happened to be sitting there - waiting for some track adaptation... so why not to play with it a little bit more... Original setup was with air intercoolers but water was added later on as an option for street usage. I have a pics of that car with them as well. So it's up to the buyer what version he wants.

Yup. Both - track and street. CC having their own dyno is able to tune it the way customer wants...

Sounds like a decent business venture on their part. Would be pretty cool seeing some tuned F-cars.
