If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

A man with priorities so far out of whack doesn't deserve such a fine automobile.

    They just increased the value...

"I thought that might be a problem.
Let's crack open the odometer and roll it back by hand."

    Cameron, are you okay?

It's no problem, really. Your old man won't know a thing.

    It's completely fixable.

I'm going to give you a little advice.

There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

I think it was settled that it was a replica, except for a few close-up shots which were of a real Calif Spider.
    Either way, beautiful!

If anyone has the DVD, the commentary in the special features talks about it when the scene comes up.

I *do* have the DVD... I'll have to turn the commentary on and check that out. Thanks for the tip.

I believe it's an MGB-based replica. Even the close up of the odometer shows it to be a stock MG Smiths gauge and not a Veglia

The scene when they leave the school, after picking up the girlfriend - you can tell the car is an auto. (looks down, moves gear shift, car lunges when it gets in a forward gear)

Plus all the sounds from the exhuast sound like an American V8.
