t-belt: how do we know age of new belt?

    Well,

    It's about that time to change the t-belt on my car. Mileage wise, it's not even close, time wise though it's a bit past. It just occurs to me that since F-cars t-belts are more than likely not a high volume item, how do we know t-belts on a dealer shelf are not several years old? Thanks.

    I was thinking the exact same thing. All this talk about the age of the belt, and you could be installing a 15 year old belt.

    Used to be that the Pirelli Isoran belts had different printing color for dates and upgrades. Green, white, I can't remember...

    My Ferrari branded Dayco Isoran belt did not have a date code. I understand the Dayco non-Ferrari branded belts do have a date code:
