Is this a factory option? I think it looks nice. Not a p-shop http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/2995/ferrarichallengestradale361ot.jpg http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/6691/ferrarichallengestradale372so.jpg
I believe that's just a vinyl decal on top of the clear coat. It looks great. The factory stripes are vinyl decals under the clear coat. I would rather have the one that I could take off if I wanted to.
I agree. I think that is an aftermarket vinyl sticker unless he went through the complete process of having the car sanded, the sticker applied, and then clearcoating the entire car. Most would not likely do that. I just went with the aftermarket sticker and it looks great.
Yup that's Pete's alright. Pretty sweet stripe IMO, and the fact its a Nero Daytona makes it 10000x better . YEah as Scud said it's Pete's 2nd. I can fully appreciate why he made the move form Rosso Crosa to Nero. More power to the black CS owners (i.e. Scud, you'r enot special enough )!! Just playing around, don't sick your Koalas on me!!
Why would anyone change the Italian flag stripes to the french flag stripes. The car is Italian and putting the french flag instead of the Italian doesn't do it for me. IMO I don't think it's a good idea.
Folks, I am thrilled that my car and its stripe gets such aclaim from you! Thank you! I had the same stripe on my first (Rosso Corsa) CS. In each case it is a sticker that can be taken off, but on the new CS they really did a great job. Why red/white and blue? 1) I was born in the UK to an English father, 2) I am an American citizen, 3) I lived for 18 years in France, where I keep my car still today, and my mother's family is French 4) Racing stripes on Ferraris were only in the Italian colours when the cars were raced by Italian teams/drivers - so felt that r/w/b was the way to go in my case.
It's funny how tweaking such a tiny detail on a CS can have such a dramatic effect. I'm surprised that just chaging the green to blue on Rosso CS cars make them literally a lot more beautiful to look at. I'll admit, I'd take this over the green anytime, it's such a small change yet it seems to make a notable impact. Peter, you're then man, Mann!
