Well, We finally have sorted out the engine management system on the F40. The stock Weber/Marelli system is pretty crude, But Rod at F.A.I. stuck with it. We put several hundred miles on the car and burned over 20 sets of chips. Very time consuming, but well worth it.
So my friends at Evo Sports in Huntington Beach opened up their Dynojet and stayed late for me tonight. Rod brought over all his tricks of the trade.

Here are the dyno sheets and what we did to get there.

The first one was our base line. The way it was tuned from our street drives.

We though we had maxed out the tune up for the pump gas that we have here in Cali. We could tell the motor was holding back, So we added 5 gallons of Rockett Brand racing Fuel 100 Octane.

WOW!!! This thing comes on SOOO strong!! Really incredible!! What next??
I have a Tubi LM exhaust that I have been dying to try. We removed the Tubi Sport and bolted on the LM. When we went from the stock exhaust to the Tubi sport we lost low end throttle response and gained 25 RWHP, so I thought we just might gain a little more with the LM over the Sport and lose a little more bottom end.
Boy was I WRONG!! Low end throttle response went WAY UP!! It revs like a high Compression 12 cylinder! The engine gained over 50 foot pounds of torque at 4000 RPM. The power comes on a lot sooner. Great off idle throttle response.
    What a beast!!

Thanks Rod for all your time, patience and expertice!!

    Really incredible!!
zsnnf , you mean that changing Tubi exhaust (LM),made a
high compression 12 cylinders, including also 5 gallons of Rockett Brand racing Fuel 100! Octane. you arrived to increase the HP of your F40.

    a normal F40 it s 478 HP and you obtain 611 HP

amazing, an Enzo it s 660 HP....

now your F40 is not a supercar it s an hypercar!

thanks zsnnf , very interresting thread.

He put 611 ponies to the wheels.

Exactly what does an Enzo put to the wheels? I'd imagine it wouldn't be 611 . . . I don't know but I would guess an Enzo puts ~59x to the wheels.

To the original poster: UNBELIEVABLE MONSTER you got there!!!

For those that don't remember, this is a follow up thread of http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66209&highlight=F40
We now have the engine broken in and in the car.

    Some of the modifications are
    3.4 litre
    lastest F40 turbos
    ported heads
    F.A.I. custom cams
    J.E. piston
    Carrillo Rods

The 611 RWHP should equal about 702 HP at the crank.

Uh, no offense to F40 owners and it's one of my favorite F-cars. This is a compliment to Rick because everytime I see him he is working on tuning his car. Looks like his work paid off!
