Completely, Got the pics from an auction i belong to, they are going to be available in the next few weeks. Wade
Wade Erin's is just body damage from what I understand. Itold him the thread was here , he may come post with all the details.
I saw a silver 550 and a red 355 at the Copart Auction in Gulfport last week. I have a couple of pictures and will try to upload them.
So you think you could hose it out, WD40 it, and hang one of those 'pine tree' air fresheners?????? None of my dash electronics work anyway, so I'd be used to that, already! "I dunno officer, how fast do YOU say I was going? OK, that sounds right......" It's a shame, as drying them immediately might have made it go differently, although the original insurance company will cry 'uncle' when the water hits the dash...........
We were dancin' the other night, down the street from Mrs. Dave328's crib......I thought of you.......and kept drinkin'.......LOL!
I recognize the red 355 with "the hottest club" etched on the windshield. It belongs to that guy who was in the process of opening that new club down in the warehouse district on Tchopotoulas. He also used to have a red C4, Viper, and a Yellow 355 Cab parked out there with decals all over them in addition to the red 355 pictured here. I wonder if the other cars made it out??? The club he was opening was near Twi Ropa, and unfortunately the name slips me right now...
Thanks Sparta, That was the name of that place now that I think about it...When I passed, I never paid much attention to any of the other cars he had there, but his red 355 & yellow 355 cab always stuck out in my mind. Glad to hear that the Cab survived...
Yes, that was my car. A tree fell on my garage durring Katrina. That picture does not do justice. The damage was severe. On the bright side, I don't have to make up my mind regarding it's sale! It is a goner now. On the other hand, I am a little miffed at Progressive. They promised to sell the car to Ferrari of Houston-- who wanted to restore it. I got a call from Steve a couple of weeks ago stating that Progressive backed out of that deal and auctioned the car off instead. It was too late for me to stop this because I sold the car to progressive (total loss) a few days previously. I had the paint touched-up and the seats redone within the last several months. The car was nearly perfect. A real pity that someone is probably going to put bondo all over it.
