Unfortunately, I have to leave on a trip, so I won't be able to post more photos until Sunday. But here is a teaser from Saturday morning, and just to prove that there were Ferraris there:

I'm back, and here is the first set of photos from Saturday morning outside the BMW Zentrum.

The first car, a 1954 Hudson Italia, is Italian in bodywork only, but that's good enough. Note the certain well-known FChatter studying the Daytona. I think the Maserati 3500 GT was my personal favorite, but I don't believe it won anything!

Some of the more notable cars were given a place of honor on the sidewalk in front of the building, including the two cars brought by Foreign Cars Italia. But the Iso Grifo got the best spot, in the grassy center of the driveway roundabout!

This group includes something I don't think I even saw at Concorso Italiano last year: three Iso Rivoltas, two Grifos (of notably different configuration) and a Fidia sedan (which I prefer, stylistically at least, to the contemporary Quattroporte). Also a Lamborghini 3500 GT in what looked to be the original paint.

"Pardon me. Do you have any Grey Poupon?"

This group has some nice British cars: Jaguars, Rolls-Royces and Bentleys. My favorite was the black XK120 Fixed Head Coupe.

Note particularly the last two photos of the elegant two-tone Bentley. In the first pic, there are jars of, yes, Grey Poupon on the little tables. In the last pic, note the tool kit that sits in a drawer on the left side of the dash!

Although this set begins with a 275 GTB (looking a bit fish-like in this shot, IMHO) and ends with a pair of BMW Z8s, most of the emphasis is British, especially the lower-volume makers like Morgan, Jensen, Aston Martin, Delorean (made in Northern Ireland, hence British) and Merkur (which could be either German or British).

Also some interesting commercial vehicles, including a pair of Morris Minors and an absolutely enormous Mercedes "house on wheels".

In the competition-car section was a pleasant surprise: what was advertised as a current-year Red Bull RB1 F1 car. Seeing any current F1 car up close is a rare opportunity.

Among the other cars, the Porsche Boxster belongs to one of my coworkers from our Greenville facility, and he won his subclass. The shot of the Triumph Stag is a quickie, taken as it was leaving rather early.

This set has some interesting stuff, including some creative ways to go about dealing with small trunks: a Mercedes 300SL with the best fitted luggage I've ever seen (it's even got beveled edges!), and an MG-and-a-half! Also a vintage Ducati motorcycle (in appropriate colors) and even a Mini Moke!

Okay, the last set of pics (cheers!) starts off with some schnozzolas that include the sublime (late-model Miura sans "eyelashes"), the ridiculous (the unloved quad-headlight 330 GT) and the brutish (Lambo LM-002). Then a couple more Ferrari group shots (including a very familiar 328) and, a bit later, some of the winners heading off after collecting their ribbons (including my friend Tony and his Boxster S). The post wraps up with a few last shots taken in the hotel driveway back in Spartanburg.

Hope you liked the show, whether you were actually there or not!

Nice pics! As usual, we each caught stuff the other didn't. And I see you got part of my 328 in the act as well. Thanks.

Some nice pics from the pair of you.
Good to see some Cossie's there and love the Austin Healey Frog eye Sprite. My mate had one in British Racing green some years back. Was a good little car for Sunday drives out.

A parting shot that was on the latest roll of film I had developed. Taken in the hotel parking garage Saturday night. I won't say anything else......
