You have been moderatorless too long and the flying boomerangs and tiger snakes are rampant. I always like to administer from the bottom up, so here is your chance to offer nominations for a moderator or two for the Aussie/NZ section that you will respect. OK to nominate yourself, I will review the list and out of those I feel are qualified I will create a poll and only participants from this forum can vote.

The Moderator gets the benefit of Rossa perms for free plus some cool functionality and the mod forum that even Rossa users don't have. Basic requirements are…

    1) Active on FerrariChat.com and especially in the Aussie forum.

    2) Not a new user.

    3) Level headed and will make good balanced decisions.

    4) Moderate with sugar, not salt, but willing to get tough if required.

Nominate others or yourself now. We'll have a vote next week.

    Thanks,
    rob

Stephens and 360C seem to have been around the traps long enough to know what happens and how to handle it. Both level headed and without prejudices against anyone.

Aircon would be the most fun as a mod, though I fear Phil's days on the board would be numbered!! :D

But really any of the common Aussie posters would be fine. I guess it comes more to which one of them would want the job.

    Is Goober a chance? :D

edit: Rob, thanks for the poll, by the way!

I wouldn't do it, plus I'd be useless...I'd never discipline anyone...no matter what they did (not even phil)

    But...Pless for president :)

stephens and 360C seem the most "sensible" guys here......although I do remember stephens saying he doesn't want the job.

Thanks for all the votes so far guys, but really - I am not interested. :p

Damn... If no-one wants to do it, I'll do it. I often read here, but very rarely post.

At any rate, if I p1$$ anyone off, I am at a safe distance :)

Oh yeah, I am an Aussie too (but no-where nice as those below :) )

Whoever it turns out to be, I just hope it's someone who will let everyone have their say (even if it's upsetting to another) and remember what the Aussie way is.

We get d'heads here that come and go (or stay :) ) and generally I've never felt any of them deserved intervention... except that richardg, and all he needed was to learn to pull his sorry head in (in fact I miss him - if only so I can meet him and prove how wrong he is - oh, and get the apology he owes me).

Australians are far less politically correct, (thank christ, allah, or whichever deity tickles you fancy...), more open in our written language, and generally, think having a barny or a blue (that's fight for the americans) is not much to worry about and will still buy the other a beer the next week.

So I guess I'm saying is there needs to be far more leeway in what occurs in the Aussie section than perhaps in other sections.

Mark, I think you'd be surprised at some of the crap that flies in some of the US sections. I dare say that some of the ego's here are supersized! Be that as it may, you are right (and don't say I said so...) in what you say.

One thing I have noticed in the workplace is how painfully PC most Americans are... It really does not suit my management style at times!

Say hi to Bec from me too please.....

I think there's nothing more envigorating than a good verbal blue/debate... and then move on to the next one. These people that continue the backstabbing afterwards are tossers (I've decided I like that word :) ) - I don't write or say something about someone that I wouldn't say to their face. Nor am I afraid to admit I'm wrong if I make a mistake...
I always thought DT and style were mutually exclusive :) But PC is such a w@nk
    Who?
