Just thought I would share a few pics. I'm kinda excited, because I painted my wheels yesterday and now the car has the look I was after. I posted pics of my car before, but since then I have lowered it with Eibach Sportline springs and painted the wheels. It's been almost as fun driving around as my Lambo replica! I guess it's still an eyecatcher, being such a new car and all. I hope you like it! -FROG-

Nice ride, the black wheels do work well. How does it handle with the lowering springs?

    racerx3317:
It handles very very well. I was so impressed with the stock suspention to begin with, but the springs slammed the center of gravity in all the right spots. There is no body roll, just rails to ride. :)

    Scott85:
Yep, after I got the car and added the stripes, visions of the Grand Sport popped into my head and thats what basically gave me the idea for the black wheels, to capture that look. I think I'll hold off on the 2 little red hash marks though, I don't want to over do it. ;)

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. It's fun to find inexpensive ways to totally change the apperiance of a car. Here is a "before" picture, to see the difference.

Very nicely done, I have a 93 myself and the 05 is the only other model year i'd even consider. I have lowering springs on mine and it rides rough as hell but that's to be expected. No body roll though...........:)
Beautiful ride, take care of her.

Whats truly amazing is that as you added to your car, more grass started to grow in your lawn. That kind of grass thrives on sunlight, lots of water, and '05 Mustangs with stripes and painted wheels.

I agree - I just painted my calipers red a few weeks ago (paint kit: $15 from WalMart and about 5 hours labor since I don't have a lift). It really adds a lot to the look of the car for barely any money.

Looks great! Now you need a good window tint to match the wheels...

Thanks! The car color is stock, but I painted the wheels black myself. The stripes were done at a decal shop near by.

I'll say that Gt looks FANTASTIC. Might be the best looking new Mustang I have seen. Stripes look great.

I've seen some new Mustangs with wheels that look a lot like the old "Crager" Magnesium wheels (I think thats what they were called) from the 60's. Anybody know if those are stock wheels or aftermarket?

There is an upgrade option on the wheels and they are called "Bullit" wheels. Those are kinda powder coated grey and have been an option on stangs for the last few years. However, there is also another upgrade option to get the "Chrome Bullit" wheels and I think they are a larger 18" (not the 17")wheel and look VEEEEERY nice in my openion. Not too blingy, since they maintain that "Hot Rod" look. One of my friends has them on his 05' and they totally look like aftermarket wheels. They do remind me of the old "Crager" wheels, so I think those are the ones you are talking about. Thanks for the compliments!

Nice Stang!!! I have to say that the 2005 is quite possibly the best Mustang to come along since they stopped making the real thing in 1970. Personally I'd love to have one but I only have room for one car in my garage. Speaking of Mustangs and Cragars, here's my 1967 fastback with real vintage Cragars

Because she never drives it. She has a new Infiniti QX56 and wants to drive it instead. And, now that I have a American Ironhorse LSC chopper, she wants to get a motorcyle. She likes the automatic models at: http://www.ridleymotorcycle.com/

She'd rather drive some porker SUV over a droptop mustang GT? Take it she's not much of an enthusiast:D.

FROG, is that sonic blue? If i had to get a GT, i'd get it in that color.

Yea, it looks great. I think you should try and make it a shelby clone like a lot of people are doing. The 05' mustang is really cool because it looks like an old fastback, but its just weird that the front looks like a 67 and the rear looks like a 65. I'm hopeing that when you new gt500 comes out, they have the scoops on the side and the straight sequential tail lights like the 67' 500. My brothers ,ex-girlfriends brother has a lime green 67' gt500 and its so cool,it almost stops traffic. The new gt500 is cool but it looks more SVT than shelby.

I don't have any pictures of the car itself, but i do have a few pictures of my brothers 944 with it in the background. The pictures are to big,i'll try and make them smaller so i can show you.

Nice looking car. The lowering really makes it. Stock is too high.
