The car came in the mail today! I pre-ordered it a few months ago from : http://www.diecastmuscle.com/store/KY8183RE Here are some pics : Image Unavailable, Please Login
I finally have a 328 model! If I get real fired up, I may paint it blue. I got to get an airbrush set and practice a bit first though.
This model is so clean, with great lines. The 308,328, and 355 are the sexiest ferraries ever. When I see theses beauties displayed, I can only think of a womans' beautiful curves, just like your 328. Long Legs, Nice back end, Big front end, and can go VROOM VROOM, HeHe He...
Jerry, Who did you pre-order yours from? I ordered two from two different places and I haven't received either one yet!
Hey bud- Listed in my original post is the link to where I ordered it. If I wanted to paint this blue, are they hard to take apart? Thanks!
Can't speak for the 328, but I did take my Kyosho 308QV apart. It has a lot more screws in it than you'd expect. But it is doable if you're willing to accept some limited damage (a couple of cables in the engine bay ruptured, but you don't really see that). I did it for the same reason: To customize it to make it look like my real car. Here is the full story: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/250178/325931.html?1067441311
And many weeks later I even found the second mirror. Buried in my carpet. So if you want to alter your model, rip the mirrors off at the start. Or you'll loose them along the line. They're easy to glue back on.
Oops. Missed that. I did order one of mine through them. Maybe it came today. I hope so! By the way, I noticed that the black rear bumper wasn't just a pre-production goof. They apparently meant to do that. I wonder why. It's not like the real thing. Oh well.
Aug- Did you get an email from them? I got an email telling me it was shipped. Not sure why they did the black bumper - strange.
No, no email. I pre-ordered as soon as I heard about the car. I'll have to check with them. I still have my order numbers.
My red one arrived on Friday, and the windshield had popped out. When I went to put it back in, I noticed that it was seriously scratched from sliding around in the box. I sent an email to diecastmuscle.com and they said they'd credit my account! Can you believe that? No windshield=Free car! I was amazed. I'm going to send it back and get a new one though because I really want the car.
Jerry, The blue Dino is an Anson 246 GT that I bought when they were first released. The detail isn't as good as the Kyosho 1:18s or even the Hot Wheels 246 Dino but it's pretty nice. I think they are offered on Ebay pretty often.
