    Excellent Eugenio!

I have to choose between 2 meeting points and both are quite early for a sleeper like me :)
    - Sunday: 10:00a.m. meeting and drive away from Bad Ragaz/CH or
    - Sunday: 12:30p.m. meeting in Bellizona
    Hmm, probably Bad Ragaz.

Hi Cinque, I suggest you come with us, meeting at 09:30 at HEIDILAND GAS STATION, NEAR SARGANS ON THE WAY TO THE S. BERNARDINO.

Simon, myself, Rachel and my friend Giovanni will be there. Leaving early will give us the chance to enjoy a full afternoon by the sea... getting up early is a worthwhile sacrifice!! :)

    Ciao a tutti.
Still waiting to know something from the Company but hopefully departure to Manila is being postponed...
Standing things as they are, I will drive to S. Margherita Friday night and will spend the all weekend there, waiting for you.
Again, I still know nothing for sure about my future but, If I will be here, we could try to arrange a barbeque at my place in Cavi (approx 20 minutes drive from Santa). That could fill one of the evenings.
    Ciao
    Eugenio

you're cheating another 30 min. from my sleep :D
I know, the early bird catches the worm....
But the early worm will be catched !

Do we need a swiss Autobahnvignette? Hopefully not :p
    Actually we avoid boring highways.

    Dear Wolfgang and Co,
I apologise profusely for interrupting your thread, but the wine listed below is well worth the find, if you are able to sample.
Despite slight changes in the blend, the wine remains my all time favourite, but, the problem is, it is not exported .... it is that good.
I have watched, over the years, the producers cooperative grow from a small farmyard to a business of many retail outlets in the tuscan area.
Judging by your intended route, the nearest wholesale outlet is on the road from San Gimignano eastward toward Poggibonsi.
The "Rosso di Montalcino" is almost on a par, and good value for money.
Please Wolfgang, if you are able to find the spot, could you please manage to bring just one bottle of the wine to Scotland ..... i would gladly pay for it, and maybe we could demolish it on August 3rd.
I wish you all a safe and adventurous trip.

The more the merrier. Unfortunately all the pictures from last years Toscanna Rally were lost in the crash last year.

Wolfgang, Ton, we need to start repairing some of the better old threads. I still have all my pictures. Here are a few reminders :)

Unfortunately I think you'll need the Autobahn-Vignette for Switzerland. Whatever we do, to cross the S. Bernardino we have to go on the motorway at some point, and on the Italian side (S. Bernardino-Bellinzona-Lugano-Chiasso) the motorway is pretty much the ONLY way...

Besides, the meeting point (Heidiland) is on the motorway too!

Actually it is not the only way, you can take the Kantonal Street and that will bring you down to chiasso.
You will pass throught Bellinzona, Monte Ceneri, Lugano, Melide [which is very beatiful], Mendrisio and then Chiasso.
The nice thing is that when you reach Lugano the Kantonal Street [or Strasse depends on the language] it is all along the lake which is very beautiful sightings.

So you could save the money and look at the scenary.

    Cheers ilo

OK - now there's no chance of me going to Tuscany (or anywhere) this year.

I have just learned that I have to be in SA for a week's business during that week in June. I will probably stay there till the end of December...

    Cheers, MARK
