Can't say i like red F1's but whatever. Pics here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=401293 I'm mini magic btw
S/N 131631... i don't feel the same way the owner does about god, but i think it's awesome that he feels strongly enough to advertise his beliefs on an Enzo... i mean, how many people would put ANY kind of sticker on an Enzo, let alone the "jesus fish" on the rear grill...?
I actually do feel the same way about Jesus that Mr. Beal does and I will say that it's freaking awesome that he has the stickers/fish on the car........ Perspective is a good thing, especially when you're driving an Enzo.
The condition of that shop, and the condition of the F1 is frightening. I certainly would not bring my McLaren to a shop that looked like that...and then let them rip the car apart like that. Why not spend the money to have it done correctly at a high quality shop that doesn't look like a dump?
When I was a kid, I used to think the fish was a mark from a dealer/distributor. I was amazed how many cars those guys had sold!!! I agree with McBoy, above. If I'd spent $1m on a car, I would certainly take it somehwere where I thought it would get looked after. It looks a complete mess in there, and those guys wouldnt fill me with confidence! Jamie
I can't believe he has a sticker that says "God is awesome" lol Well i guess it's better then the "Jesus is my homeboy" sticker.
For the shop, i agree, but a neighboor has his helicopter and all his cars repainted in an "hum well you see what i mean" place....but they definitly do a great job. It depends if you know them and trust them i guess. For the fish, i think it's silly to display any kind of religious symbols like that, as they are almost fetish, and fetishism is forbidden by christian church, we're no more in Greece.... It's a shame people stil think it's something cool outside of Afghanistan
Who is Mr Beal? I thought you guys meant Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) aka "Johnny English who also happen to own and crash a Mc Laren F1. P.S. As for the fish : I love how it looks (my Benz has one too) also that's the second Enzo posted here with that fish.
That place looks worse than my own garage, which I didn't think was possible! C. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, he must know more than us. I know he wouldn't just let any old shop do it. There is more talk about this in the link i posted.
Well, it says that his personal mechanic is Mclaren certified and while he may know what he's doing, it's still pretty weak-sauce to load up the interior with parts (metal next to CF.. ugh), throw other parts on the ground, use some generic masking tape and not have a lift but JACK STANDS. I'm sure it'll work out, but I wouldn't let anyone see the process. C.
Having been in the shop myself i can tell you this. don't be fooled - he has a direct sat link to the Mc F1 shop where they can diagnose anything and both he and his right hand man have travled to England and are certified to do anything on the cars themselves they are also lambo and ferrari certified Mr B is a big time beleaver and the "God Is Awsome Racing" team logo also adorned his race cars and top fuel funny car. Having seen the craftsmanship they put into converting the Lamborghini Mercy to 2wd all i can say is their work is not going to be bad.
I wonder then how many people are McLaren Certified? As for the shop it doesn't exactly look like the cleanest place to get a McLaren painted.
I would have to guess that not too many have been through the F1 classes but Carty is a character....
They only have a handful of service centers around the world. If you need any work on your car they will ship someone over to work on it. All the tools needed came with the car.
Your link doesn't work anymore. As for the color..red I agree it's not a McLaren color but just look at it. Stunning! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It says "Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster". I' will try to enter the F1 forum and then click on the thread. I'm sure that will work.
