    After taking a close look at 002C's original fuel tank which we've removed to touch up the welding, we've deceided to fix it and put it in our museum. We're going to build a new one that looks identical and have ATL build a fuel cell that will hide inside. These original tanks are a bit scary IMO.

    After reading Brock Yates book, I'm surprised that the historical racing bodies don't require this.

    Very wise move.


    And Dale you are right. I have seen several vintage cars where real tragic events were averted by sheer happenstance. Like coming back to the car a few minutes after fueling them to find the interior of the car filled with gas and things of the like. Race cars require a lot of attention, old race cars require much more.
