Now that's a shame. I'm starting to think that the supercars are just getting to be too much for normal people in the real world.
People will always crash cars, whether it is the latest and greatest of today (CGT, Enzo) or the latest and greatest of yesteryear. Im sure people were saying cars have gotten to fast when the 1977 911 turbo got nicknamed the widowmaker, but I'd bet its easier to drive the Enzo or the Carrera GT than it is to drive an old 930.
I don't know. Heck, these days the cars are accelerating faster than those steel rollercoasters with all the loops. There's a significant difference between 6 second 0-60 times and a sub-4 second launch.
Cars are getting faster. They are getting quicker. They are getting stickier (road handling). They will continue to get faster, quicker and stickier. People will always be crashing their car by taking it to far whether it is a CGT or a Honda Civic.
I have seen some crashes of Ferrari's, Lambo's, Porsche's, and always wondering what these people drive like to crash the cars in such as manner. I know I have been in some pretty hairy situations, but never crashed a car like these guys
Please someone slap a CarrerOwned on this for me?? I am only good @ bikini pics Image Unavailable, Please Login
FIAuto: Uhhh - crashing a car is really easy, regardless of how much it costs. I'm sure even you could manage it.
I am sure I could, and fact, I have no doubts of it. But fact remains is that these cars are the pinnacle of performance. What were they doing to cause the accident is what I was wondering.
Isn't this the one that the french car mag reporter crashed into a telephone pole? Thats what the damage looks like. If so, then the wreck happened months ago, and these are the 1st pics I have seen.
I dont think it really matters what kind of car you have. Some roads are simply just not made for high speed but there's still those who want to race on them like it's some kind of race track.
Given that some roads are not meant for high speeds, these people are driving limited edition cars worth several hundred thousand dollars. The cars are obviously insured, and these people have enough money to really not care, but to some, cars are more than money, but a passion. And some may consider damaging such cars a sin . Just a thought
It's not like car crashes are abnormal, these are just more publicised because they are supercars. It's not like EVERY supercar owner sucks at driving and is a wreck in a very small box. There have been a high percentage of CGT accidents though.
