"POSSIBLY THE ONLY ONE IN AMERICA" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6212&item=4507117954&rd=1
If it wasn't so sad, it'd be hilarious. Someone bit off more than they could chew maybe? If he has the car, why the stock photos? Be interesting to see if it actually gets any bids.
I'm calling B.S. on this one. If you read the description the "Seller" is misinformed about the engine his supposed car has, or at least what cars it shares it with. Also lists the transmission as manual, which, while possible, seems fairly unlikely for what I'd guess to be one of the first 5 - 10 delivered to the states.
6 speed could be likely. Ferrari showroom in Manhattan has a 6 speed 612 there. I thought it was kind of unusual though
Just another loser trying to rip people off. Ashame. Some people just don't want to work for a living. *sigh*
yup has to be fraud. only one in america, pfft... if it is then why no pics. and how come i saw one at ferrari/maserati of cent florida last week and bartman claims to have seen one at the dealer in manhatten. thats the worst lie i've ever seen.
Real car, really a 6-spd. Not fraudulent. The owner is for real, as is the car. As for his spelling and mis-statements about the details, well, not the best marketing effort. Maybe the only one equipped exactly this way? And definitely one of the first in TX.
Then why don't they use real photo's? These are file photo's. This is fraud. I have used eBay way too long and have seen way to much **** like this. Just look at all the posting the boys over here at F-chat post about fraud cars like this.
Normally, I would agree with you. But in this case, I personally know the seller, and I know that the car is for real. I ordered this car when I worked for Ferrari of Dallas. The owner has multiple Ferraris, and has been a good Ferrari client for many years. I'm not sure his intentions in listing the car, maybe he's not happy with it, or maybe he's just testing the waters to see if there's a profit to be made. Anything else from me is pure speculation at this point, but I can assure you that this is not a fraudulent auction.
Well someone should tell him to post more information and real pictures. If this auction is real it really doesnt because it shows all the signs of a fake. Someone should tell him, that way he may even have a chance selling that car. Just my opinion.
Not to beat a dead horse here (no pun intended), but if this guy has multiple Ferraris, and is such a good client that he got one of the first 612s in the country, you'd think he'd know that his car doesn't share an engine with Ferrari's flagship car.
