Since I don't want to be responsible for the lack of sleep of my fellow F chatters, I'll release pictures from the car... Thanks to all who "play" the game, the winners should PM me so I can make sure that they get their price. This was fun, amazing the models offered butr so few on the right car!!! Well, we want the chat to be entertaining, you sure did it. This was fun Roland F40LM Better outdoor pics will follow when the sun will be up. The TR was a car I owned years ago, sold, bought back, sold again. Now, this 91 will stay at the ranch for a while. Congrats. Great car. I loved mine. Bought it new and drove it for 140k miles. Rain, Sleet, and snow. Enjoy!
Roland she looks fantastic...hope to have the chance to test drive it, during my next journey in colorado
I am still in awe of the classic style and performace of the TR - they are every bit as sexy as they were in 1984 when they were the "new thing" - Congrats - you might need to build another garage... Robber
Awsome Roland, look forward to seeing it around during the track season (will you bring it to PPIR or is that the time for the LM?)
Hi Alex, I doubt that I'll have the TR at PPIT since this is the place for the LM. I'll drive theTR at many club events and if you're around (again), well you'll get a ride(again) hahaha! The TR was my first love in the F world, and I had to get an other one !! Had to wait to have room but now I'm HAPPY..I have 200 miles + in 24 hours.. Take care Roland F40LM
Congrats on the new car Roland. 200 miles in the last 24 hours?? That must have taken what and hour and a half??
Thanks Guys, I do love the car but today we have snow !! So, I'll change ride and drive the tractor for a change. Next week, FOD will do the recall for the belts and I would like to hear the motor a little more, here comes the torche !!! Roland F40LM
Well let me see : a 355, a 456, a TR, 2 F40, 1 LM a GT2 (Pcar) a MB 4.5 300. a XJR15,a 56 Chev pickmeup,a Excursion diesel and a mini van. I don't want to put the tractor, mule etc... Roland F40LM
Glad the car went to a good home. The TestaROSA. But we lost one of our Sunday afternoon rides. Drive it in good health Roland. Attached picture was from our last drive. We, of course, we not exceeding the speed limit on I-10.
Nice pictures good luck !! from the East Coast New York New Jersey spot. check our site . the New York Time Square Pictures.
Thanks Guys, I'm happy even if I took Mark's car..He will get a 360 any time soon..The TR will have a good life here in a dry climat.... Roland F40LM
No need for shame. Lambo has done its homework and as a Ferrari fan I will hate to admit their Gallardo vs the 360 is a terrible contest in favor of the Bull. However, the TR is such a classic, a real pioneer in its day and an icon in American pop culture as well as automotive design from the 80s. When, not if, the new BMW M5 drives circles around a 288 GTO, will I care? No. Does that make the GTO less gorgeous to look at? No way. Classics vs modern is a wasted thought. The highway drivers on your sunday drive were blessed to see a modern Audi-fied beast and a Italian classic. Besides, the TR looks cooler. Bonds might get all the homeruns, but Mantle got all the chicks and glory. Hope you don't mind me asking Roland, this TR is the same car as your first TR? How many miles were tacked on between ownership times and is the history of the car well known? If this is your first TR back in the original hands, it is such a cool story. RocketBoy
Hello Rocket, the TR is for sure on the "older" side but still a hell of a car. This one is a 91 while my first one was Euro and 87. Since I couldn't buy back my old one for the 3rd time, well this one is fresher with less miles. (16k) The rest seems to be the same, maybe the seats are better now. I hate the stupid auto belts and I just dropped the car at FOD for the recall. I think that I'll have them change later on for the regular type. The stock exhaust is way to quiet, my older one had straight pipes...Got to change that too but this will be after my return from Laguna. There, since you mentioned it, I will do a school with a Stradale and a Gallardo !!! Got to stay in touch with the other brands.. Here are a few shots from this morning before leaving for Denver. take care Roland F40LM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That 91 TR belonged to my friend Mark Rosa in New Orleans. For several years, I did tell him that if he sells her, to let me know. The full service has been done a couple thousand miles ago and he did all what needed to be done. He kept all records for a futur buyer. I"m very lucky to get that car and his friendly price was a Christmas gift...He is a VERY good friend for the least. Roland F40LM
