    Greetings Southeast members,

Enclosed below is an invitation from our Regional Director Marc McConnell to attend an event that will surely provide some relief from this hot summer

    Dear FCA Members & Friends:

I hope all of you are enjoying the summer so far and look forward to taking your Ferrari to cooler altitudes August 10-12!

We are really excited about the event we have coming up for you in August, the 4th annual NC Chapter mountain trip sponsored by Premier Event Sponsor Foreign Cars Italia and Event Sponsor Apex Vintage!. This time we'll be headed to Little Switzerland, NC, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway! This venue is a favorite of car clubs and perfectly suited to our pursuit of a great time, both in the Ferraris and when it comes to time relax. Of course there will be plenty of driving for the driving enthusiast on some of the best roads in America and a special lunch at one of the top ten flying communities in the nation, Mountain Air, on Saturday. Please see the attached invitation with more details.

Hotel: Our host hotel this year will be The Switzerland Inn (www.switzerlandinn.com) where we'll enjoy traditional rustic charm with unbeatable vistas. Accommodations range from lodge rooms to cottages at $149 to $219 for our group. Please call to reserve at 800-654-4026, noting that you're with the Ferrari Club. Our cutoff date for reserving rooms is 7/16 so please reserve as soon as you can!

Event Registration: To register for the event, first RSVP by email, then download the attached registration form and send the completed form with your check for $275/person (before 7/16, $300 after) made out to "Ferrari Club", mailed to Andrea Edwards, 147 Tyler Crescent East, Portsmouth, VA 23707.

We apologize for the delay in getting this out to you and should note that some of the details are still being finalized. Special thanks to members Jed & Susan Rankin for helping to put this all together!

We really look forward to a great time in the mountains in August and hope to see another fantastic turnout like last year!

Please reply to this email as soon as you can to let us know you plan to attend.

    Thanks!

    Marc McConnell, Regional Director
    Ferrari Club of America
    North Carolina Chapter

A fly-in sounds like a good idea. I remember that Ferrari helicoptered the new AWD FF onto the top of a snow-covered mountain for its press release. See you in August!
