I am trying my best to find a Ghibli II to buy, and I´ve run into a case like this.

Does anyone have any clue why the boost gauge is acting like that? The car has been sitting for at least eight months, and one of the intercoolers has been off, due a fender bender repair. It runs ok, and seems to have enough power (spins it´s wheels on tarmac, when coming to boost on second gear).

    Any ideas?

Edit: I´ve just been informed that this normal when the car is not under load. No experience with turbos in cars. Sorry to waste everyones time..

    Hi Finlandese.

I think I know the car you looking for.

Bewarem there is a lot of problem:

    1. Biggest one: no history, you don't know anything about the previous services. The seems to have 70000km on the clock, and it's time for the timing belt and timing chain change, an engine out job, really expensive.
I think it will cost at least 4000-5000 euro (depends of the hour rate of your maccanic, maserati said it takes about 30 hours to perform the job).

    2. It's not an european car, it's a japanese one. No homologation yet (japanes ghibli were not homologated in Europ0, it could be difficult to register it in your country.

    3. Japanese model with japanese headlight, you'll need to put european's one on the ghibli, and it's really expensive (if you can find a pair, really difficult).

    4. The car was not well looked after before:
    - button missing on the center dash, cost 10 euro for a new one
    - need new tires and the rear ones aren't of the good size (should be 255/40/17)
    - need a new fog lamp (not expensive and easy to replace)
    - wheels need a refurb

    5. seller said that the car had only very small front damages. Look at these picture (same car), very light damage?

    6. I'm not sure about the suspension, I'm afraid there is a problem also.

So, ok, the price seems good, but you'll have to put a lot of money in this car to make it good.
You'll find better ones for way less I think.

    Regards
