For you cool t owners, found this DIY video series on replacing Cam Belts, this starts from engine out, I'm learning before I do my car which should be easier on a 3.2.
You have to respect the mechanics that do this work, its not easy. If anything, this will educate you on the process and realize your limits on if you should DIY.
Special thanks to 'sonordrum1000' for posting the first how to change cam belts on a Ferrari in YouTube, awesome job !

Its a bit like watching Columbo at work, but this guy seems to know what to do which is a step way ahead of me and in the end got it done. You got to make some time to see the whole series, very informative. I'm just glad he posted this video, it will help me when I'm ready to do my major.

I think he got his parts from you Daniel, so you probably sent him the stuff because he references Ricambi a lot of times!

Yeah, sorry for the "Colombo" approach, but it was the first time I had done it, so it was a bit of a learning experience. I could not have done it if not for the tons of f-chatters who had gone before me and posted all their pictures and techniques on this site to learn from. 2 points: On the 1st video I call the modified socket I use to remove the star nut bolt on the cam drive wheel a 5/16th.... it's a 15/16th's... must not have had my reading glases on. Point 2: If you do this including the oil pump chain tensioners, make sure you watch the end of video VIII to hopefully avoid a leaky crankshaft seal.

I watched the video from beginning to end and it's a well documented job. But did you redo the timing belt twice since you had to pull the seal out? That sort of a thing alway happens to me no matter how careful I am.

Pretty much, yeah. That's why I don't want anyone to have to have that problem. In actuallity, I used a bunch of spring clamps to hold the timing belt firmly attached to the cam shaft drive sprockets so I didn't have to really deal with the top of the engine. I used white paint to make marks on the belt where it engaged with the cam drive wheel. Took it apart making sure no crankshaft movement, changed out the #$@%^& seal and put it back together making sure all marks were as before. I'm hoping my coverage of the process warts and all will make life easier for others. It really isn't rocket science, it can be done by anyone who's mechanically inclined and done some car work before. My 1st car was a beloved Fiat X1/9 so that required picking up wrenches and getting dirty, but I'm far from a trained mechanic (thats pretty obvious).
