Copperstate 1000's Facebook page posted this so I decided to pass along the info here though I'll be at Windgate. Maybe we can do a little meetup at one of the complexes next month.

Is this at both places, the one in Chandler and in Scottsdale on the same day?

Yeah, really not the best day to launch it, but I'm sure they'll still have a decent crowd at both locations. The sponsors/host alone ensures there will be some quality stuff there, too. The one in North Scottsdale is nice and close for me, so I'm hoping it really takes off and I think it will.

It says, "it's all free, except for the coffee" and then right under that it says "free coffee"??? Anyone else notice that?

I didn't, but maybe there will be free coffee for this month's events, then there won't be after that? Their press release reads:

"Both monthly morning events will have free coffee available to guests who are also welcome to browse new car models on display and in the case of the Scottsdale location, to visit the cars of the Penske Racing Museum."

I believe so. All the information that I saw available is in the OP.

Agreed, but like Pat said, there will probably be a good amount of cars. It's a great way to lure people to their locations.

Depending on where I am in the Valley, I'll try to make it to one or the other. I hope you will still come to Windgate!

just the stuff "on loan" to Penske Wynn is pretty damn cool. I almost cried when I saw Mark Donahue's Indy 500 winning car there.

I was there a couple weeks ago. Some pretty important cars in there.

While I was there a woman hurriedly came up to me and told me that because of some "ongoing legal issue", the cars with Marlboro graphics could not be photographed. She demanded that I delete any immediately. There was no signage to that effect anywhere.

    Guess I missed one. :D

The Scottsdale 101 Auto Collection is the group of dealerships. I'd go to the Lamborghini/Bentley side and see if that is where they are gathering.

Tim, you were here?! And you didn't let me know!

Yes, orange and yellow (IIRC) cars are not to be photographed for legal reasons.

I was there to inspect a car for a client. My schedule was pretty full but I did get a chance to visit Penske.

Not sure what the "legal reasons" could be surrounding old racecars but it doesn't look like they've heard about it here.

    The more events the better.

However, after looking at the Cars & Coffee logo on the poster, it looks like the same crew that hooked up and tried this at Bondurant in the middle of summer. The whole event turned out to be a sales job for several businesses.

It might be worth a look, but about the last thing I feel like hearing on a Saturday morning is, "What do we need to do, to get you in this car today"? :)

Or how about "other than price, what is stopping you from buying a car today?"

My wife and I stopped in to look around about two years ago and I remember being told not to take any photos of the Marlboro cars then as well.

Ahhhhh..... The look of short sleeves with ties and pocket protectors, and the smell of cheap cologne. Sounds and smells like victory! :)

As long as it doesn't turn into something akin to a time share sale, it'll be fine. But that C&C group that is involved, put together what was basically a sales show out at Bondurant. Not the way I want to spend Sat morning.

I plan on swinging by the Scottsdale event early before heading over to the Windgate event. Really curious what will all be out there and will be a nice opportunity to take another look at the Koenigsegg CCX Edition (assuming it's still at the dealership). Being one of two, having a bare CF body and making 888bhp, it's definitely worth a look.

I too was told no photos of those cars. Of course that was a commercial shoot. Didn't know they banned personal photos as well.

Pat - you may have this better sorted than I, but I think the Koen is at the Ferrari dealer (as is an Enzo right now) and not up where this C&C is...(unless you are referring to a different one than the one that has been at the Ferrari shop for at least a year?).

When I picked up my car from service on Monday I got to check them both out...someone was "shopping" the Enzo...its only got 1200 miles on...warning...pet peeve alert...I do hope the guy is planning on hanging it on a wall with proper lighting and thus removing the facade that its a car at all...
