Aesthetically, my humble opinion is:

  1. 246

  2. It's a toss-up/too timid to say but love polls and wanted to respond to this one

  3. 308/328

Which do you find better looking, the 246 or 308/328?

Both classes of cars are beautiful, don't get me wrong. However, I'm more partial to the wedge shaped front of the 308/328 than the 246.

The Dino is drop dead gorgeous, but I cannot rationalize the cost-to-inherent-value proposition that the Dino reflects.

I own both and for me the 246gt is more styled of the two. Even when unveiled it was leading edge. I believe I have a vhs tape about Pinnifarina and he stated it was the most beautiful shape of all he had designed... The wooden buck for the body is on display I believe in Italy. A true work of craftsmen.

Only thing I don't like about the Dino design is how the turn signals are embedded in the nose. Those should have been moved outboard like the Alfa 33/2 Stradale or TZ series. I suppose that was to make it more "modern". Not knocking the 308 wedge design as its fantastic, but its difficult to compete with the coned out headlight design nacelles that were a pf carry over from the early 60s/late 50s.

    Best Regards,
    John M

IMO the 308 GTB is the best looking automobile ever. In fact there will never be another car created that will exceed it's beauty.

Wow this is a tough call. I vote 308 overall since I prefer the interior of the 308 over the 328 but if someone asked me what I thought the three most beautiful cars were my answer would be 308,328 and 246.

I think there's a subtlety to the 328's design vs. that of the Dino's that's more appealing to me.

The design/construction of the Dino is a little more "fragile" then the 3 series. It's looks are superb but the overall design also hides a multitude of Italianesque issues. The 3 series were much better cars overall but lost a little, only a little in the sexy department. Again, beauty in the eyes...
At the risk of getting side tracked, the Dino is like a mistress. If you dont use it from time to time it can get "attitude" Why else would Ferrari install two ignition systems.
Experience with both the 246 and the 328 tell me they are like sisters, only different. Each have ther desirable traits.

246 is like Sofia Loren, and the 308 is more like Britney Spears. And I prefer Sofia.

I remember when I was a kid the first time the friend of a doctor from "up the street" drove his brand new Azzurro Metallizzato Dino to our community pool. All the kids climbed out of the pool and ran to the parking lot to see it up close. Seeing the Dino driving through the parking lot was an amazing sight. Wow did that car leave an impression. That Dino was so much cooler than the blue Corvette T-Top Stingray our lifeguard drove!...

So, although I own a 308 and absolutely love the beautiful angles of that car, I have to give the nod to the Dino for having a curvy shape that is to me just a bit more "better looking".

    Great idea for a poll!

    Britney is more 360/F430-ish.

    308/328 is more Christie Brinkley-Joel-Brinkley.

Oh well, I'll through my hat into the circle. I never liked the Dino since I first saw it up close in '69 in State College, PA. The 308 took the ugly duckling Dino and turned it into a swan. I have no idea what the attraction to the Dino is. To me the proportions seem all wrong. Just not a fan.
