    All,
I have been working with the Saratoga Auto Museum to put together something for the upcoming Ferrari Festival this Sept 9-11. This is a big event, and they have agreed to reserve a designated parking area for FChat members directly in front of the museum.

The event runs from Friday - Sunday, with the main automotive activities on Friday and Saturday.

Friday - 10am drive through the scenic Adirondacks (I believe stopping in Lake George for lunch)

Saturday - 1pm the car show is held on the museum grounds.

Normally the tickets are $75 a piece for both days, however if we can do group buy of 20+ they will be $60 each.

In addition to this I am working with a well known local exotic car dealer for a "Car and Coffee" event (most likely to happen before the show on Sat)

Here is a link to the event - http://saratogaautomuseum.org/saratoga-wine-and-food/

I will post more details as they become available

Zagato TZ3 Stradale – Pebble Beach Debut car will be in Saratoga Springs

The Zagato TZ3 Stradale first shown this week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California will be a featured automobile at the 2011 Saratoga Wine & Food and Fall Ferrari Festival in Saratoga Springs, New York on September 9-11, presented by the Italian Trade Commission and presented at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

The Zagato TZ3 Stradale is a contemporary interpretation of the Alfa Romeo TZ and TZ2 bodied by Zagato in the 1960s. In addition to being highly prized as road cars, the TZ and TZ2 enjoyed spectacular racing careers.

Zagato unveiled the TZ3 Corsa—‘racing’—at the Ville d’Este Concours d’Elegance in Italy in 2010. That car was a tribute to the TZ and TZ2s racing success.

Only nine examples of the TZ3 Stradale—‘road’—will be offered worldwide, reflecting the visceral grand touring side of the TZ and TZ2. The first, shown at Pebble Beach, was delivered to Zagato collector and Saratoga Automobile Museum trustee Eric King.

The Zagato TZ3 Stradale is constructed with a mono-shell carbon fiber chassis based on the Dodge Viper ACR, and is powered by a 8.4-liter 640 hp Viper V-10 engine.

The Zagato TZ3 Stradale breaks new ground for Alfa Romeo and parent Fiat SpA in the U.S. AutoWeek said, “The car is considered by Zagato to be the first American Alfa Romeo.”

The Alfa Romeo-Chrysler connection also fits with Fiat and Chrysler’s product integration plans for Europe and North America. Those plans include both Alfa Romeo and Lancia models built on Chrysler platforms and an ultra-luxury Maserati SUV built on a Jeep platform that will be announced at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

Andrea Zagato, third-generation scion of Carrosserie Zagato in Milan, Italy, will again participate in the 2011 Saratoga Wine & Food and Fall Ferrari Festival as an honary co-chair.

The Zagato TZ3 Stradale will be featured at the festival as a special exhibit. Andrea Zagato will present a one-hour seminar on “Creation of the Zagato TZ3 Stradale” from 1:30-2:30pm on Saturday September 10.

The Saratoga Wine & Food and Fall Ferrari Festival has been named as one of the top wine and food festivals in America. Over 200 premier wine and food exhibitors are represented. Honorary co-chair and celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, wine expert Kevin Zraly and Zagato all present personal discussions in their areas of expertise.

The 2011 Concours d’Italia on Saturday September 10 will honor the Ferrari 250 GT and also includes heritage classes for invited Alfa Romeos, Lancias, Maseratis and Lamborghinis displaying Italy’s long and magnificent automotive history.

The Adirondack Road Tour on Friday September 9 is a brief drive though the spectacular Adirondack region with a fine Italian luncheon at the exclusive Lake George Club. The tour and luncheon are open to drivers of all Italian automobiles.

Members of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Lamborghini or other car clubs are also encouraged to contact the Saratoga Automobile Museum directly for information on special club admission and displays.

The 2011 Saratoga Wine & Food and Fall Ferrari Festival presented by the Italian Trade Commission benefits the educational programs of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and the Saratoga Automobile Museum, both located on the grounds of the historic Saratoga Spa State Park located in Saratoga Springs, New York.

    All,
To those that are interested in attending this event, I would like to get a confirmed count to know whether we will be able to qualify for the reduced price tickets.

We need 20+ to get them to $60, so if you know you are going to attend please post here or send me a PM. Thanks

    All,
Here is the form we will be using for the car show this coming Saturday Sept 10. Please fill out your name on the plate, print it and bring it with you to the show. This will be presented upon entering and let the workers know what corral to send you to. Upon parking place these on your dash so fellow members can find one another.

Looking forward to this. Should be a great show.

Looked over the sign up form and it looks like the fee is $100 to enter the car and then an additional $75 per person for the grand tasting. Is this correct?

Yes, unless we have an order for 20+ tickets the entry is $75 and $100 for vehicle entry.

If we can get more confirmations then the price can drop to $60 for an entry fee (although I do not think this changes the cost for a vehicle entry)
