How about we poll to see what people think. Which would you prefer? OK I cant seem to start a poll. I guess I need to subscribe or something. Options are: Original 348 355 360 If anyone can turn this into a poll for me please do. Thanks.
Funny, I don't know why but IMO the original looks best for the Mondial. I always wanted 355 alloys for my 348, but after seeing pics of a 348 with 360 alloys I changed my mind. I've written to Santa, now I want 360 alloys for my car. /Peter
I have to admit i think im leaning towards original too. But of the others the only one i'd consider is the 348 wheels. The others just dont look right on the car.
I went up and down this road a few times and in the end, only because I got a good deal on the tyres, stayed original. If I was to choose, it would be 360, 355 then original, given that the tyres are a pain. I have seen several with 348's and just do not like them on the car.
cant believe im saying this because I always go for the flash but I like the originals best. It just looks like to me that the other wheels overpower the wheel well. I think the 360's look terrible on that car...if your gonna do that, you should put some 20 inch spinners on it and bling out, IMHO of course
Original or maybe 355. 348 wheelset looks boring. 360 wheelset on a Mondial looks ugly. I once saw a t Cab with a TR-wheelset: Very nice!
355 wheels look best in my opinion, followed by the originals or 328 wheels. Forget the 360 wheels. Yuck, wagon wheel looking. They look great on a 360, not Mondial. Birdman
To see a set of 308 qv 16" wheels on a Mondial. see red car in post #3 in link below. Early 328 wheels would sit about the same, but look more modern. If you wanted to bring the rear ones more inside the wheel well, could use 4 fronts at all 4 corners. The slightly decreased offset of these wheels will increase the track, but not the steering effort appreciably while road feel goes up. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10472&page=2&pp=20&highlight=mondial+wheels Just a data point. best rt
Actually, they will. The ABS have the same offsets as mentioned below in the 308 qv thread. The major 'risk' is that if the abs differentially activates on the front wheels, the non abs offsets create turning forces that really try to pull the wheel from your hand. best rt
