Hello Fellow F-CHatter's! I have just fininshed my mini-project on my Bianco Avus 2009 Scud! It has been augmented with the following: 1) Kreisseig Equal Length Headers 2) Cargraphic Sports Cats 200 Cell 3) Tubi Titanium Rear Muffler Section 4) DMS Automotive Stage 2 ECU Tune 5) BBS F-I 19' Forged Rims with 245/35 19 Fronts & 295/30 19 Rear tyres 6) Ferrari Carbon Fibre Rear Diffuser 7) Ferrari Carbon Fiber Front Diffuser 8) Ferrari F599 GTO Original Carbon Shift Paddles with Italian Flag Motif Hope u guys like the result. Cheers, Arj
Incredible scud, absolutely love the wheels on Bianco!! I am sure it sounds amazing after the upgrades as well. A fine example of a tastefully and subtlety modified Scud.
it looks great Arj. you know where to call when it's time to sell 1:24 .. is that post all the exhaust upgrades? (that's a nice car behind you as well ) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOyEMilnK20&feature=related[/ame]
Looks good. I assume you also lowered the car by the look of it. Why did you replace the corsas with michelins? Also I noticed that the muffler section of your tubi isn't turning blue.
Thanks for the positive comments mates. I love this Scud the way it is now, very raw! I am sorry Bull, but have sold my original rims already. They went very quickly as well. To 15HN, yes the tubi muffler hasn't turned blue yet but its only had about 400km on it thus far so maybe it'll turn blue in a bit. I changed the Corsa's for Michelins for 2 Reasons: 1) I sold my original rims with the tyres 2) The original 235 & 285 sized corsa's don't fit well on these wheels as they are wider (8.75" J in the front & 11.25" J at the rear) than the stock rims and hence the stock tyres are too stretched out. Also, considering the amount of inpromtu monsoon-type downpours we get over here, I decided to fit Michelin PS-2s and not semi-slick corsa's or PS Cups to maintain all weather driveability. I dropped the ride height of the car approx 8mm in front & 10mm at the rear. Derek - When i decide to sell the car, you'll be the first person i call
Very nicely done! Can't go wrong with a scud on bbs f1 wheels. How did the dms ecu reflash go? Heard a lot of bad stuff about dms when I was scouting for a tuner for my M6. Wonder if dms can help remove the cel in my 430.
Looks really good, white Scuderia with these wheels is amazing! What are you doing with 3 screens in your car?
Good call on the Michelin PS2 as a street tire with great grip in rain conditions, and decent grip on dry conditions. On your next set switch to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Great looking wheels, I'm seriously considering one set. I personally don't like the sound from the Tubi, too loud and not Ferrari like, but it is the lightest muffler available for a Scuderia. Did you check actual weight from the muffler and headers?. How are the Kreissieg headers in the mid range? The Scuderia seems to pick up plenty of power on the mid-range with headers.
1-Looks very nice great wheel choice (the best at the moment) 2-Remove the 10000000 screens 3-Remove the red dragons 4-I will change the red center caps for blk or yellow 5-Lower more 6-Get the OEM fire ext the one you have is from a Porsche GT3
Well done Arj. Looks like your car is lowered just the right amount and the BBS wheels fit the sporting nature of the car. 19" diameter seems perfect.
Thanks for the lovely comments guys! It sure feels good. To answer a few of your questions: 1) The 3 Screens: A) Sat-Nav for Malaysian B-Road Drives and true GPS Speed as factory speedometers are always inaccurate B) Tyre Pressure Monitor - essential to detect a slow puncture at speed C) Reverse Camera Screen: In singapore, almost all parking lots have a sort of concrete curb behind them preventing you from reversing too far. These curbs are quite high and if you back-up too far with a Carbon Rear Diffuser, well, its adios diffuser. With the camera, you con stop just before the very expensive "Crunch!" 2) The exhaust set-up: its rude, very very rude. The sound is out of this world, it screams to the redline and belches fire on upshifts and downshifts. Most certainly not for the faint of heart or for somebody who uses his car on a daily basis. Also, if you live in a quiet neighbourhood, your neighbours WILL try to get you evicted as it is so freaking loud on start up! But, highly recomended for those who find the stock Scud exhaust set-up too tame. Works very well with an ECU Tune. 3) The DMS Ecu Tune: It is fabulous. Somebody said they had heard bad things about DMS tuning. I, personally, have not heard a single bad report on them and they constantly get featured in the magazine EVO with 5 Star Ratings. DMS have tuned nearly all my cars for me: BMW E90 335i & M3-DCT, Golf Gti Mk.5, Ferrari F-430 Berlinetta. F-430 SCud, C63 AMG all with extremely good results. I must thank Rob Young and my dear, dear friend Ian-Mao at DMS Singapore for all their superb work on the Scud. Well worth the money! I would also highly recomend these BBS FI wheels to anybody who owns a 430 or a Scud. They weigh next to nothsing and the offset is milimeter perfect....no spacers required at all as the wheels sit flish with the fender. The don't rub on them or anything at speed or when going over speed humps. BTW, the wheels didn't come in this colour. They cam in gloss black and I had my painter mix this colour for me. Cheers, Arj
Hi, could you pm me the contact details for DMS Singapore? Am looking to tune some cars. Well, I can't wait to hear your scud exhaust set-up in person! May be you can post in Singapore owners thread in asia section. Or we might meet in next FOCS event
Cool! Another rude exhaust fan. Me like. We should meet too exchange tips on exhaust notes. My favorite hobby is to hit the tunnel and just belt the pony. Though the test pipes did end up throwing up the cel, I just don't fare coz the scream is just out of this world. I'm sure your scud screams like a banshee with it's balls on fire. Can't wait to hear it in person. I was the one who mentioned hearing bad press on DMS tuning. Rob did a lot of BMWs and quite a number of owners have complained that the result wasn't that great and it was pretty much the same map for everyone. Rueben was different as he tuned every car from scratch on the fly. Again, these were not dyno'd so as the saying goes...talk is cheap. If they tuned your scud, I'm sure they can work something out to clear the cel in my 430. Nice wheels btw...makes the ceramic brakes look puny.
