PF Rosso Prototype

I saw the PF Rosso prototype at the Essen Motor show this year. It's really a good looking car. I know the VIN is 104982.

Does anyone have more information of this car? I know this car is for sale at classicscars.com.
-Anyone knows the price of this car?
-History, owners?
-Which engine?
-pics?

Thanks

PF Rosso

The Scuderia Ferrari Austria had a visit to the pininfarina factory and we´ve been welcomed by lorenza pininfarina herself.
the rossa was displayed next to a dummy-Mythos. the original Mythos based on a Testarossa was sold to japan - as far as i know.
i did not know, that the rossa is for sale !

It is based on a 550 Maranello, so I assume the engine is 550 also. Don't know any history

The Rossa was shown at the 2000 Turin Auto Show.

It was desgined to honour Sergio Pininfarina's 70th birthday.

It was built on a shortened 550 Maranello chassis.

The car is still property of the Pininfarina Company.

DES, its basically a 550 Maranello with another body and a shorter chassis. And probably 300/400kgs less !

Still 485 hp for 1300 kgs...Should be fun.

You could see where they got the idea of the rear Enzo lights.

They should. Since both cars were designed by the same guy (Ken Okuyama).

Check your sources. Okuyama designed it while working at Pininfarina. There's an article about him in Forza #43. Page 48, first column.

I wish they made more of these.

Shouldn't this car be a great car to arrive at a Ferrari meeting? I think everyone will notice you.

Great work of Pininfarina or should I say Okuyama :-)

I have seen this car up close and i have to say its by far my fave car of all time, the guy who was "looking after" it when i saw it was smoking and all the ash was falling in the lush interior, i wanted to punch him, as soon as my scanner starts working i'll post the picture with me next to it
