8th FCD Ferrari Dino meeting Black Forest, Germany, 07th until 10th of July 2011 Dear all, this year we are organizing our 8th FCD Ferrari Dino meeting in the "Black Forest", Germany and we are going to visit the French city "Strasbourg". We hope for more international participation. Every Ferrari Dino owner interested in taking part of the event, please ask for further information. [email protected] Regards Matthias
Hi Matthias, In July 2010, I posted in the French section the info about your 7th FCD Ferrari Dino meeting. See here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291364 I said also that you had the project of another meeting in July 2011 and that it would be nice to have some French Dino, if somebody was interested. In the meantime, I was in contact with a former French Dino Club President (Alain Gervasoni), and he informed me that the French Dino Club no longer exist. My post was viewed more than 600 times but unfortunatelly nobody answered. Hope there are some Dino left in France! I'll sent you a private e-mail soon. Best regards, Francis.
Thank you for your support Francis. It would be wonderful to have some Dino friends from France with us visiting Strasbourg. ) Regards Matthias

great gathering Matthias! is that a prugna 308GT4? what s/n is it? These are the moments when i regret selling my GT4!
Hi, We're now also back from Matthias' Dino Ausfahrt (meeting) - and enjoyed it tremendously. Even though we own our Dino 246 GT for almost five years by now, we usually have the only Dino showing up at events; the max number of Dino's I had seen at any one event was three (at the 2009 Classic Wings & Wheels event in Gilze Rijen, NL). This 8th FCD Black Forest Dino event changed all that... Travelling from NL, we decided to arrive a little earlier, and spent a day exploring the town of Durbach, as well as the excellent spa & pool facilities the four star hotel offered. The following day, our afternoon was continuously and pleasantly interrupted by the unusual yet so familiar engine sounds of the many Dino's (and the occasional Stratos) arriving at the hotel! Verde Germoglio, Giallo Senape and Nuovo Giallo Fly, Rosso Dino and Chiaro, Bianco, Nocciola Metallic - the hotel's parkingplace, boring black and dark blue metallic the day before, was brightened up with the fanciful seventies colours and rather than checking in, their drivers got stuck on the parkingspace, catching up with the other participants first. Being newcomers on the 8th edition of this annual event, we were often introduced to other participants, and with the other newcomers, we really felt very welcome in this open group of Dino enthusiasts. The next days we spent many miles on the twisty and marvelous Schwarzwald (Black Forest) roads. Any stops were carefully selected to accommodate our large group of Dino's - with security guards available to ensure that any onlookers were using their eyes only. The picturesque Mummelsee at the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse, the historical narrow streets and the half timbered Fachwerk houses in and around Strasbourg, the visit to Strasbourg's Cathedral and the absolutely lovely sunset during the wine tasting at the Staufenberg castle garden, the evening before - the organisers certainly had included the very best of what the Schwarzwald region has to offer. The participants were as colourful as the Dino's they drove; and with the Dino as an easy conversation starter, we loved hearing and sharing the stories with the others - and the help and information they were providing to their fellow Dino drivers. We ourselves got helped out, when our Dino decided it had enough petrol to bring us up to the mountain pass, but refused to ignite again after our lunch break, eventually exhausting the battery - one Dino driver drove us to the petrol station and back, another Dino driver revived our battery and brought the engine back to live. Some other Dino's also had small issues over the weekend but nothing that couldn't be fixed on the spot, using the treasure trove of combined Dino knowledge in the group. We really would like to thank Matthias and Irina, and everyone else at the Ferrari Club Deutschland, for making this happen and inviting us foreign Dino drivers for this wonderful event. Many thanks and see you all next year! And to the other Dino drivers here - just make sure you'll be there next year as well: Highly Recommended! Petra
Hi Petra, it was really a pleasure to meet you both at our Dino meeting. Maybe we see us at the Oldtimer Grand Prix Nurburgring, but very sure next year with all our Dino's. Irina, Matthias and the "Hotel Ritter Durbach" made a fantastic job for us participiants, thank you again for all they've done. Hope to see you very soon. Volkmar

Yes Etienne, I think you are right, the only L-Series in the field. I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again! (Bart Simpson) Image Unavailable, Please Login
