    So guys and gals,

I am headed for a (used) Vantage purchase in the next few months once I find the right car. What have recent buyers found on prices for 06, 07 and 08?

Any insight on realistic prices being paid (or received) on normal mileage examples? I am not as worried if it has every bell and whistle optioned. What are prices settling on versus the asking prices from dealers?

    Thanks for any insight.

    Robb

Bump on the questions. I'd love to hear from those with purchase experience this year. How about some thoughts. Thanks.

I've been in the market too from afar, off-&-on for the past year or so.

The best deal I came across was '06 A.M. Vantage V8 w/ very low miles (desirable Tungsten silver color w/ nav'/etc) which locally sold via dealer for low-low ~$60k's. And looking into auction pricing, '06s tended to be mid-$50k's up. This was ~1 year or so ago.

Then on this subforum, it was suggested that I look into '08+ for the improvements (engine/power) & improved reliability/dependability (quirks worked-out). For the time being, these model-year examples were beyond my price-range. About a year ago, they were comparable to early model-year DB9's (~$80k'ish).

    Lastly, YMMV...

Here is what I am finding on Coupes ( I am not looking for a roadster):

06 models with 10-16k miles running 60-65k Higher miles cars are priced at 59k with likely sales prices lower.
    07 models with 6-12k miles running 70-75k
    08 models are at 80k to 95k
09 models seem to be 95 to 115

Prices from Dealers run 5 to 7k higher than the classifieds or dare I say the "bay".

Just curious since these are the listed prices, what the cars are likely selling for lower than these. Any thoughts on likely "final prices"...

    Thanks for any info.

I sold my Aston earlier this year but have my eye on prices of the vantage, DB9 and Vanquish most of the time. I would say that early in the year the prices softened considerably especially when the financial markets were all doom and gloom. prices held mid year and have now firmed up quite a bit and seem to be up about 5-7K on average on the 06-07's and the same or a little less on the newer cars.

Early in the year cars were sticking too with seemingly very few buyers but there seems to be reasonable movement at the moment.

I am also looking for one, '07-'08's, which should be had for $65k-$80k So far, I have been bidding around $5k below market, which is better than last year, when I have been $10k below, but getting within $5k has still not landed me the right one. I am a patient buyer.

My father is looking at an '09 Vantage Convertible, under 5k miles, orig list was 149K (I don't have the options list), 1 owner, orig selling dealer just took it back, records and excellent condition. Can someone put a number on this?

I believe color will be a major determinant of valuing this particular example in the private marketplace. Also, transmission type (manual / sportshift) is another bit of important info.

FWIW, NADA is showing retail range of ~$95k to ~$105k for '09 Vantage Roadster SportShift (approx. ~$2.5k less for manual). Options/accessories can slant that in either direction. Relevant pre-owned listings seem to coincide w/ the retail range mentioned above.

Color is Meterorite silver with phantom gray interior, manual tranny. I'd assume anything in the silver range would be popular and not hit the value, so maybe a retail number around $100-102?
