I don't get it. There is absolutely nothing mentioned in the link about the P4/5. What scale? Brand? Is it just the Competizione, or both?
1/43 limited edition of P 4/5 Competizione to start with and will be made and sold by this company. This will be a licenced model and will be very accurate based on our mathematics and race livery which is being finalised.
Can't wait! I hope they make enough for me to get one! Wow, just looked at the site's gallery and the models are quite impressive. Have you heard of CMC? They make very high quality models as well.
BMA43 appear to be a shop who commission special editions by MR and BBR and so on. They also appear to assemble kits released by other makers. There is nothing indicating that they actually manufacture any models. If I'm wrong please excuse me but do we know who will actually design, master and produce the model? Edit: I'm suspicious because they are a dealer for Davis & Giovanni and Yow Models. Both names associated with unlicensed models of P4/5.
No reason to be suspicious---Jim, who owns the real car posted the link--I'd say that is pretty accurate info...
I don't think you understood my post. Has nothing to do with the accuracy of what Jim posted. All is not as it appears.
A lot of people have sold unlicensed models of P 4/5. This however will be the first licenced model of P 4/5 C and it will be made from our mathematics and approved final livery. It will be a high quality model. If I find the experience pleasurable they will make an authorised model of P 4/5. 1/43 will come first but there may be other sizes.
So this would be BMA43's first inhouse designed model? As it was mentioned they are more like a distributor, not a manufacturer. Also does it mean that there would be no 1:18 P4/5?
There very well may be P 4/5 and P 4/5 C models in various sizes. The first will be P 4/5 C in 1/43. Their site now reflects this: http://www.bma43.com/?language=en
Jim, do you have any commissioned scale models of P4/5 for your own possession? And thanks for the link for P4/5C 1:43, I look forward to seeing the completed model.
I retained 7-8 significant models from my formerly large collection, all in 1/24 and 1/25 scale. Sold all the 1/43s. I look forward to adding either P 4/5 Comp, or P 4/5 street to that small collection. The important word being "significant".
so any word on a P4/5 street like the original? I'd still love to get one in 1:18th... An accurate 1:64th Hot Wheels would also be great...don't tell us they haven't ever approached you, James... ;-)
I hope you license someone to make a plastic kit. Maybe Revell USA or Revell Germany. Fujimi, Tamiya and Hasegawa do alot of Ferrari model kits in 1/24th scale. Both Tamiya and Revell did a Mythos showcar model, so I could see them doing the P4/5 also. For Revell USA you should talk to Ed Sexton in product development.
