i would love to see this baby in all shades of blue, esp. azzurro:D
These are all the blues that were offered. A few of the pictures I only have for 308gt4 and one a Mondial. If anyone has any of these colors on a 246 I will send you a FREE Dino TEE SHIRT. The problem with using photos of any car is that unless you use a photographer's color card (like a Macbeth ColorChecker) in some of the photos of your intended target to properly set the color balance for photo reproduction or to post on a website, you can never properly judge the color correctness, and that is a problem with the color samples posted in this blue Dino thread, and in the collection of Dino colors posted elsewhere in the section. Of course, this is all compounded by your own monitor’s color issues. For example, here are some photos that I took in Carmel in front of the Cypress Inn this past August (2010) of my Dino 246gt (03656) and Mark Robinson's virtually identical Dino 246gts (03890). [The third to the last photo was taken in front of the Gooding and Co. auction tent at Pebble Beach on the first preview day. The last two photos were taken of my Dino in front of Patrick Ottis' shop - that is Patrick in the very last photo]. BOTH Dinos are Blu Dino Met. 106-A-72 (as per the Ferrari factory website, no fancy extra “e” before [or after] the “u”. My car also appears in OMGJON’s posting above in this thread – the blue Dino in the shopping mall on the red carpet in with the NART badge on the tail just to the left of the license plate surround. The problem is that Jon has identified the color of my car as Bleu Scuro 20-A-57 and I have no idea where that color designation came from as applied to my Dino. My 246gt is NOT Bleu Scuro. I suspect the red carpet shifted the apparent color of my car in the photo that Jon posted. OMGJON identified another Dino photo (taken on Bond Street) as being Blue Scuro Dino at page 4 of his general Dino color section, http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193769&page=4, but that Dino is not anywhere close to the color of my Dino. Mark N
Sorry just did the best I could do. Yes everything looks different in different light. I'm always looking for a better picture to try and reflect the correct color. All help is appreciated.

Not that there's anything wrong with Blu Scuro! Saw your Dino at Concourso Italiana. Looked fabulous! Freeman[/QUOTE] Blu Scuro is great too! Kind of like someone else's car that I know of . . . . A group of us had our chairs by the Ferrari transporter nearby. So, why didn't you stop and say hellooooooo?????? We had a 1996 Pichon Lalande hidden away, with some real glasses . . . . Oh well, Freeman - next time!
Hey Jon - I wasn't getting on your case. What you have done (in all of your threads and posts) has been fantastic and of great help to all Dino enthusiasts! I just started wondering about the differences that I was seeing between cars that were supposedly the same color, and it really struck me when I saw my car in your "Blue Suite" montage. Mark N
