    Bill,

The PRESS RESET error display generally means there's something wrong with the CD unit in the trunk. It could also be something simple like one of the plugs in the harness has become disconnected.

    Bill,

There is no CD eject button. The EJECT button above the TAPE DIRECTION button is for ejecting the tape cassette.

Another thing you can do is to check all the connections to the CD changer in the trunk and the to the radio in the console. That will mean pulling the radio out which is easily done by removing the faceplate and inserting the two removal keys in the indicated slots.

If all connections between the radio and changer are secure and you still get a PRESS RESET message, try disconnecting the battery with the battery cut-off switch. Wait five minutes and reconnect the battery with the switch.

If you still get the error message, your CD changer needs repair.

I never had this problem with my system. My tape drive mechanism once needed repair and I sent the radio to an authorized Sony repair center in Texas.

Let me know if you need their address.
