Anyone know how I'd find out how many RHD 355s were imported into Britain, broken down by GTB/S/Spider? Better still, does anyone have the numbers? Robert.
Hi Robert, Maranellosales.com have some figures: 355 Berlinetta Total World Production: 4915 UK Imports: 408 355 Spider Total World Production: 3714 UK Imports: 454 Hope this helps... Nigel.
Nigel, That's perfect, cheers. It's surprising that more Spiders were imported than Berlinettas, given the UK's 'challenging' climate... Following on from your MSL source, I've just looked on Ferrari UK's search site and to complete the set: GTS- total world production 2577, UK imports 360 Robert.
Robert - it is surprising as you said, but I read some time ago that the UK has more convertibles per capita than Spain, France and Italy put together. Seems that when we catch a glimpse of the yellow thing in the sky, we don't want to miss the chance to bask in its rays... Ben.
having lived in Portugal and Spain you would not want to be in an open top car in the daytime in the summer! Great for evening cruising though!
True! I must confess I tend to keep my GTS roof on in the bright sunshine. Can't beat open top driving at dusk though... The above figures really do highlight how rare Ferraris are, even a 'mass produced' one like the 355. Only just over a thousand RHD 355s in all three variants imported over 5 yrs. Compare that to Porsche... Robert.
The number's that have been mentioned on here are accurate, but are only for the F355 Models, What about the 355F1 Models ? Seb
