328 injector replacement question

    I've searched and discovered that the injectors for 308-328 are the same and available fairly inexpensively. But I'm having some trouble understanding the parts diagrams re what else is needed when replacing the injectors. THere is a rubber bushing that shows in the parts diagram that is listed as $150+ EACH on the Ricambi site. Am I reading this right, that 8 small rubber bushings are needed ( or MAY be needed) for injector replacement at a total price of over 1200 bucks? What other parts may be necessary? I don't want to start the work and THEN figure out I should have purchased additional parts. And surely rubber bushings don't cost 150+ each....right? ;)

    So could someone clarify exactly what I need to purchase to ensure I have everything I need to replace the injectors on mu 328. I have the injector puller on the way.

    For a 328 you need:

    8 each 113570 = the fat "donut" o-ring that holds the injector into the bushing (but buy these from AutohausAZ or importeccatalog using the Bosch PN 3430210606 for a much better price -- as I hope you did for the 0437502047 CIS injector too ;))

    8 each 101031 = this is the o-ring that seals the (reuseable) bushing 113309 into the intake manifold (late 308QV and 328 use the same bushing)

    You do not need:

    113309 = this is the (expensive) bushing = reuseable unless broken

    103326 = "Seeger" = the snap-ring holding the bushing into the intake manifold = reuseable unless lost ;)

    for the "101031" o-ring?

    I don't think that there is one as this really isn't a "Bosch" part per-se -- it's more a F part. It probably is just a standard sized metric o-ring, and, if you could get the right size, in a material compatible with gasoline, it would/should work just fine; however, it probably isn't something that you can get at a local US hardware store -- so by the time you factor in making a special trip, or making a special order, I doubt that you'd come out ahead $/time-wise vs the approx. $2 cost from a non-dealer F part supplier (if you are ordering some other F parts at the same time) -- JMO.

    Use at your own risk, but on my TR (which uses a slightly different bushing, but the same 101031 o-ring), I have:

    groove width in bushing = 3.5 mm
    OD of groove in bushing where 101031 o-ring sits = 18.5 mm
    ID in intake manifold that receives bushing = 23 mm
    therefore, effective groove depth = 2.25 mm

    ID of 101031 o-ring (free state) = 17.3-17.5 mm (new part from US non-dealer F part supplier)
    cross-section diameter of 101031 o-ring (free state) = 2.5-2.6 mm (new part from US non-dealer F part supplier)

    Those dimensions are VERY CLOSE to an AS568A-115 3/32" o-ring. The actual dimensions are:
    ID = 17.1mm|0.674"
    Cross Section Diameter: 2.6mm|0.103"

    McMaster-Carr has them in standard Viton: #9464K28

    That might be one option (putting a hook down the center hole of the bushing after removing the injector), but you need to be "gentle" because the 113309 plastic material is brittle/fragile. First time I took my (aluminum) bushings out, I took the intake manifolds off and pressed them out from below (and it took some force because of the dried fuel varnish).
