Can any of you guys help either ? http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=134342184#post134342184 Seb
Dear Comrade Seb M8, Before you do anything rash why not examine the 512TR which is at Meridien? Their telephone number is 02380 283404? Ask for Glenn Butt and say that Graham mentioned it to you. They do also have a very nice 550 in the showroom. This 512TR was previously owned by Ray 360M and is virtually perfect in every way. It has covered a mere 11000 miles and even has the fitted luggage. Ray 360M has acquired a 550 Maranello and no doubt when he spots your 'Post' he will shortly extol all of its virtues to you. However, the 512TR at Meridien may just be worth examining. There were just 38 RHD 512TR's with ABS brought into the UK. I have all the Maranello Press Cuttings on the 512TR and if you go for it would be pleased to provide copies.
why have a 512tr which is second best when you can have the best for less a f512m dont listen to the old southerners as they are on commision from meridian my f512m is a 1996 for £55000 with carbon sports seats
If its that great Steve why are you getting rid ????????? Oh crikey better not go down that road again ,people were skiving off work giving away their kids just to get home to the computer to get a fix on the next installment last time ,,Then look what happened an old builders cast off What a let down RAY360M
even young noony found a internet cafe and pm me from the canary isles as he went on holiday the day before the P100 beast arrived
Seb the 550m is bloody brilliant ,have a test drive you will be hooked .Although i have not done a great mileage in mine yet you can tell its a proper GT car and it goes like stink The finish in them is lovely and the ride is firm but fast RAY360M Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for that Ray, I'm getting a wide and varied view point across all section's ! Did you drive a 575M when you were looking for the 550 ? with or without FHP ? What did you swap for the 550 ? It's almost a certainty that I will have to for go both the 328 and 512 to realise a good 550 ? Regards, Seb
What about waiting a while until the '600 Imola' hits the showrooms - This is bound to have an effect on the residuals of both the 550 and 575, much the same as the 430 will on the 360 series ? Seb http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27131
Hi Seb the 512tr went and was replaced by the 550m I never considered the 575 due to spiriling value let somebody else take most of the pain if you can Most Ferraris drop when new models are launched you have just to decide how bad you want it and how much you can afford to loose for your enjoyment. Another thing to think about is,there is no point being the richest guy in the graveyard RAY360m

The 550s a nice beast - but ditching a Boxer for one? I don't think Ferrari have built a nicer V12 since the last 512BBi rolled out of Maranello. Cheers, TOM
There's an absolute beauty for sale at Meridien- Grigio with bordeaux hide- the best CC IMO. If I could afford it I'd buy it! Robert.
You really think so Doody ? I thought the rake of the screen was enough to minmise this problem ? Seb
Robert, Agree about the colour combo, and I had seen that one, has the FHP fitted too >sigh< but £88k is out of the question - Unfotunately ! Seb
I remember when I bought my Maserati 3200GT, I was advised by the dealer not to order the dash top in anything other than black due to the glare. I presume the 550 will be similar, so check this out carefully.
Not too sure abour that colour combo. Tom Hartley has got a rosso /crema car in stock at the moment for £60k that looks pretty good. A friend who works there is even considering it himself. Maybe worth a try. Mark.
There's a nice one for sale on the FOC website; http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/sales/sales.asp It's silver/bordeaux(?) £59K Robert.
