Hey guys! Back in Oct '08 I organized the "308's in '08" event in Tunica, MS. This was a great success with several Ferraris coming in from multiple states to partake in a great weekend down near Memphis. Well, after taking a yearlong break, it seems that I might be doing it again. Looking at late Sept-early Oct 2010. (definetly after Labor Day) This time, however, I'm going to keep it a little closer to home. (I 1700 miles on my GT4 over that weekend...) I have some great contacts and can put together a fine gathering up here in NE Indiana. Who is interested? How far are people willing to drive for a weekend of cars, food and fun? Post up your thoughts..... JIM
Hmmmm (scratching my chin!) Might be worth the trip from Minnesota. I have friends in that neck of the woods too. I'll keep an eye on this thread!
A track day will be considered....Not sure where, but it will be part of the deal if at all possible. What I envision happening will be: A dinner (possibly at a local country club with a 'photo-op') A 'destination' lunch at an Italian restaurant that includes a great drive A car show A Tech Session at a local high end restoration shop. (4 lifts and a detailing bay with a 4 post lift) Stuff to do for families/spouses Chairity event (either with the car show or in collaboration with the CC) Track Day??? The timeframe is going to be sometime just after Labor Day to early Oct. This is typically the best time to do something like this weather-wise in NE Indiana. No snow, few storms and generally nice! I realize that it is close to the National event, however, it's awfully steep, especially for a family. I don't concours or track the car so for the $ its not realistic. The goal of doing this (it will continue to be an every-other-year thing) is to have a "drive in" style event that is affordable and fun! I am IN NO WAY looking to compete with the FCA National event.....! As it drew close to the last event I was contacted by several FChatters who expressed interest in having cars trucked in so the owners could meet in Tunica. I will be looking into this as well. If sufficient enough interest, I will arrange a truck or two...... JIM
Sounds fun! Google Maps says it is 2300 miles each way and 36 hours of Interstate. Hmm. Not so fun after all. Dang.

Is this open to any Ferrari? Depending on what else is going on I will be quite happy to attend with my California. I'm near Toledo, very close.
Jim...If there is a show-n-shine portion, would it be OK for non-f-car folks to show up to oggle at the cars? Maybe C&C would take a road trip. Don't want to detract from your all f-car event in any way, shape or form. Sounds like a great event!
What will be cool about this event is that it will be both an owners weekend and a weekend for general car nuts. The car show will likely include multiple car clubs with the Ferraris at the center. I think it would be awesome for C&C to take a road trip! I'll post details as they emerge. JIM
Jim, keep me informed. I do want to come. If you are ever passing down I-80 and have a little time I live in Swanton, quite near two of the I-80 exits and would be happy to take you out for a spin. Rick
We are 99miles apart according to Mapquest. Sounds like a great roadtrip to me!!! I'm game when springtime comes. I'll drive the GT4 over! JIM
